Snoop's Take

The Aztek Architect Pro Scooter is designed for riders of all levels, offering a high-performance, lightweight alloy build that excels in freestyle and park riding. Users appreciate its wide deck for stability and control, with one rider stating, "I’d personally go with the Aztek purely for the deck width," highlighting its suitability for various skill levels. Moreover, the scooter's durable construction and easily upgradeable parts are praised, making it a fantastic choice for beginners and advanced riders alike. With a strong focus on quality, the Aztek Architect is noted for its high-quality construction, as one rider mentioned, "So far 10/10 experience with it..." Additionally, its ability to support larger riders without compromising performance has made it a favorite among users. However, some feedback indicates that the wheels may wear out quickly, which potential buyers should consider. Overall, the Aztek Architect Pro Scooter is highly recommended for anyone seeking an entry-level option or a reliable scooter for tricks and street riding. Its positive reception among users reinforces its status as a top contender in the pro scooter market.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Good weight capacity for larger riders
Would love to buy a complete, but most of what I see have a 220 pound suggested weight limit.
I’ve been riding around on a AO worldwide with zero issues.
I’m heavier than you and am really happy with it.
I used to skateboard and roller blade but both of those take too much dedication (and potential slams) to do anything fun or cool that I ain't got time for these days.
Wide deck for stability and control
I would suggest a custom build with a little wider deck.
It's quality, i highly recommend.
The best is the reflection on the rear fender.

Looking for a stunt scooter for a 9-year-old boy.
36 here. Native stem, Aztek Siren. Personally I built up a custom.

Easily upgradeable parts
discombobulated!
Durable cast steel fork
We been bamboozled
Raptureis my favorite and is a somewhat new brand, great for people who ride mostly park, not as good for street.
Strong SCS compression system
Its been years since I have been got. People try but doesnt work when I have the youtube link memorized. This is a 5 star gotcha
Lightweight alloy core wheels
Literally said the exact same thing!
Wide deck for better control
As someone who has bought the stem I would choose the aztek purely for the deck width.
I’d personally go with the Aztek Siren, you’ll have a much easier time learning tricks on a bigger setup imo, also larger scooters are generally much more comfortable to ride.
High-quality construction
Thanks to everyone who gave me some advice, I have decided to go with the aztek fountain.
So far 10/10 experience with it, I rode it on the street today I only know hot the bunny hop and 180 it, but I need to learn how to bar spin, tail whip, and manual.
Better quality compared to competitors
Envy and Root are shit. Get an Aztek complete, either a Fountain or Architect.
Great beginner scooter for new riders
amazing beginner scooter it’s what i started on and i loved it, got me through my first 6 months until i had to get taller bars
Durable for larger riders
I’m 290lbs so it’s durable as heck.
Good quality parts for young riders
The Aztek architect is a great complete for younger kids that isn't too big to start with but will give them some room to grow into.
Great entry-level option for new riders
Buy the aztek architect complete

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Adult riders seeking to join kids at skate parks
I’d really love to join in, rather than just watch from a bench.
Discussion about scooter tricks and modifications
had to try it on my dual pipe cruiser

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Standard weight limits across scooters
If you're just cruising and learning, your weight on any well-built deck should be fine.
Comparison with other brands
The best out of the scooters that you’ve listed is the Madd Gear one, the rest will likely fall apart with any hard use.
thanks! looking at the specs I thought the Decathlon should come closer to the Madd gear.
Discussion about pricing of Aztek scooters
Is it worth $45?
Yeah it is by the looks of it probably worth it
That's one heck of a good price
Offer him $30 when you meet up
Discussion about height and bar preferences for riders
I currently run these bars and they are amazing.
Rider height and bar preference
They are both very short. You want at the very least, 26in bars.
My bars are 26.5” and I’m 5’10” they are perfect for me
Advice on scooter selection
Anyone have any advice?
Advice on scooter selection for kids
Hes shown me one hes interested in but i'd like to know if it's any good.... 'Gymax stunt scooter, Pro trick sccoter with ABEC'
Envy colt or a lucky prospect should be fine bc he will grow out of it soon enough haha.
Discussion about bar height preferences for various rider heights
Ideal bar height for 5'11" Will 26" bars feel too tall? One sizing chart suggested so
It depends on preference
Roger thanks for the feedback. Do you have a recommendation for a complete under 200 with fairly tall bars?
I’m also 5’11 and I ride 28 inch affinity xls that I cut an inch off of, I prefer the bars to be be between my bellybutton and my pockets, and a good complete that comes with larger XL bars in my opinion would be some of north’s completes
Discussion about brand comparisons
Best scooter brands? What are the top ten brands in scooter? If people can help and comment there list of best brands I would be grateful because I'm new to scootering.
Rider height and bar preference discussion
All those lists are good. But for specific parts, I've always had the best luck with proto wheels, tilt headsets, tilt forks, proto scs compression (tilt ones work amazing too), affinity bars and tilt or envy grips, and envy decks.
Discussion on preferences for complete scooters
Your best luck, to start, is to look for a complete.
I feel old and rusty but I've just never been able to shake wanting to scoot again :'}
Concerns about transitioning from skateboarding to scootering
I want to get into scootering. Help! I’m an adult man, 25 years old and stand 6’1” tall.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about weight limits on scooters
Does the rider weight factor into anything?
Bar height plays way more into sizing than weight.
Comparison to lower-quality brands
I’d avoid Gymax as they are a generic box store brand. And if i’m looking at the right scooter online, it is absolute bottom end.
