Snoop's Take

The Bona High Performance Dusting System is a comprehensive cleaning kit designed to effectively capture dust and pet hair from hard-to-reach areas. Featuring an extendable handle, reusable and disposable dusters, and a machine-washable storage bag, this system aims to provide a convenient solution for maintaining cleanliness in your home. Consumer feedback reveals a mix of sentiments about the Bona system. While some users praise its effectiveness, stating that "it’s actually the main product that never streaks for me," others have expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that it "doesn’t do it" when it comes to cleaning tougher messes. Additionally, the reusable cloths are noted for enhancing cleaning effectiveness, as they can be swapped out easily and help achieve better results. However, there are concerns about residue being left on floors and inadequate performance in cleaning specific types of stains, such as paw prints. Based on the feedback, the Bona High Performance Dusting System may be recommended for light dusting tasks, especially in households looking for a more sustainable cleaning solution. However, potential buyers should consider the mixed reviews regarding its effectiveness on tougher cleaning jobs before making a purchase.

I LOVE the Bona professional line. It’s actually the main product that never streaks for me.

Positive Feedback

The Bona just doesn’t do it. Dirt remains intact, glommed on to the floors, with an uneven residue left behind.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective for some users
I LOVE the Bona professional line. It’s actually the main product that never streaks for me.
For some reason my floors are always dirty.
I can mop my entire floor with just one pad.
I'm fairly sure that it's just branding.
Reusable cloths enhance cleaning effectiveness
I swap out multiple cloths per mopping and they’re easy to clean.
The microfiber cleans better, you can use it wet or dry, and it fits perfectly in the little swifter 'holes'.
The only good way to use a Swiffer is if you're using washable cloths/pads with it.
I have a jar of microfiber cloth soaked in alcohol and dishsoap for use as reusable wipes.
Safe for hardwood floors
Bona is one of the best. Good housekeeping rated them the best performer out of the 24 products they tested.
Its supposed to be safe for pets and all that which was important to us.
Effective in cleaning without leaving a residue
Bona all the way. I will never use anything else.

Ineffective at cleaning floors
The Bona just doesn’t do it. Dirt remains intact, glommed on to the floors, with an uneven residue left behind.
it is nearly impossible to clean, too - even when Bona hardwood floor cleaner is used, it dries and instantly shows scuff marks from the Bona mop.
Bona cleaner is mediocre at best. Most people complain they feel like it leaves streaks & well, just doesn't get the floor clean enough.
It is a terrible product. I hate using it.
Doesn't clean effectively
the microfiber pad, which didn't really look that dirty when I was done with it.
Bona sucks, that's why.
Ineffective at cleaning paw prints on tile
Did nothing for paw prints on tile. I'd imagine the bristles will damage hardwood also.
Leaves residue on floors
They always leave a residue for me.
My floor restorer said bona leaves residue, and to use Zepp instead.

what I see most industrial/professional cleaners do is a damp microfibre rag on a floor squeegee!
Uses less water and it's not gross.
Mix it all up and let microfibers soak inside an airtight container.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about using Bona with robotic mops
**This floor cleaner is in no way endorsed by Roborock** and people should be careful about using it or suggesting others to do so.
Thanks for taking the hit.
just keep it away from your tank water.
I'm so paranoid that I used distilled water since my tap water has a huge amount of calcium in it.
Mixed experiences with Bona product usage
I don't see any damage so far.
General dissatisfaction with Swiffers
I don't understand why they are so popular, especially because you have to keep buying pads?? Am I using them wrong?
Swiffers are garbage.
Concerns about washing microfiber dust mop heads with clothes
I'm don't like the idea of sticking them in the washing machine with my clothes, and it might get contaminated with traces of fabric softener.
I don't put them in the laundry in the same load with my clothes bc I agree that seems really gross.
