FANTIAN’s 5lbs Aquarium Gravel is a decorative pea gravel designed primarily for aquariums, indoor plants, and small landscaping projects. It provides a simple, natural substrate that can enhance the visual appeal of water and plant displays.
Consumers have not minced words – a recurring gripe is the gravel’s diminutive size. One user even laments, “To avoid choking or accidental ingestion ACF would need much larger gravel or bare bottom,” underscoring genuine safety concerns for small aquatic animals. The feedback paints a picture of a product that, while aesthetically serviceable, raises red flags regarding practicality in pet environments.
In conclusion, while the gravel may serve well as a decorative accent in carefully managed setups, it is not recommended for aquariums housing small amphibians or fish prone to ingesting small particles.

Pea gravel is always a bad idea - it never stays put.
These rocks are too small. I believe both African Clawed Frogs and African Dwarf Frogs can get these swallowed.
