Snoop's Take

Frida Mom Nursing Pads are designed for breastfeeding mothers, offering a convenient solution for managing milk leaks while ensuring comfort. With ultra-absorbency and a soft texture, these disposable nursing pads promise to keep nipples feeling dry and are individually wrapped for on-the-go convenience. Positive consumer feedback highlights their effectiveness in staying in place, with one user noting, "I liked them over the saggy hospital ones & I felt like they really helped me feel a little more put together LOL", demonstrating their appeal in postpartum care. However, some users have expressed concerns about the sticky adhesive not holding well and discomfort due to bunching, with one stating, "They’re uncomfortable and I hate how they bunch up and look wrinkled through my shirt." While many appreciate the soft texture and overall design, others have preferred alternative products or hospital supplies. Overall, the Frida Mom Nursing Pads have a mixed reception, but they may be worth trying for those seeking disposable options in their postpartum recovery journey.

I use the Lansinoh disposable breast pads since they stay in place with the sticky adhesive.

Positive Feedback

I stopped actually sticking them, so I'd open them but not remove the backing.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Preference for reusable pads over disposable
I use reusable ones, they're machine wash and dry and honestly not that much extra laundry.
I definitely prefer the reusable ones (for environmental reasons) and also they’re much more comfortable.
Seconding the reusable pads!! I got kindred bravely and they were a 10/10 off of amazon.
I only ever used reusable breast pads which are fantastic.
Discussion on preferences for various postpartum products
I just used cotton undies and thick pads. Again with the pads, go natural and cotton.
Cultural differences in postpartum care
Two different thoughts and something to consider!
Discussion on postpartum product variety
What else does she need? This is a group gift from a few girl friends and I so, we want to get her EVERYTHING, but none of us have babies & we’re all clueless and going off what TikTok tells us.
I'd buy her a nice water bottle with a handle so she can stay hydrated while caring for baby.
Breastfeeding makes you so thirsty.
I bought a 40 oz bottle from Target to make sure I stay hydrated while breastfeeding/pumping and it’s one of my favorite purchases.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Preference for using pads with Frida disposable pants.
my favourite by far was Frida disposable pants with Abena maternity pads inside (yes you absolutely need pads with the Fridas). Super comfy, no leaks.
Discussion on alternatives to hospital supplies
I want to be as prepared as possible so I don’t have to worry about it after I give birth!
I didn’t get the frida mom kit because I thought it was overpriced but if I need anything extra I know I can Amazon it.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Preference for hospital items over purchased ones
I didn't care much for the hospital provided items, with the exception of the pads.
The stuff from the hospital and some Depends and pads after that ran out.
Personal experiences with postpartum needs
Depends we’re a god send. I think I wore mine for 3 weeks and I felt so naked taking them off for the first time.
On baby #3 and these are all my favorite go-to items.
Depends were the best postpartum item.
This review was very helpful, thank you!
Skepticism about the necessity of nursing pads
Breastfeeding: What to buy in advance? FTM, due in May. Our plan is to try breastfeeding & pumping
Honestly, I would wait to buy anything. I bought so many nursing pads and never leaked so didn't use them.
100% the same. Past 3 months, I never leaked, didn't have an oversupply.
I bought it all, and ended up formula feeding 😂 my cousin's were happy to be gifted all the stuff I never used though.
Preference for other breastfeeding aids over nursing pads
I LOVE this!
General advice on buying breastfeeding products
Not having to wash immediately saved my sanity.
Nipple creams, silverettes, coconut oil to oil your pump flanges, nursing/pumping bras.
Discussion on alternative postpartum products
Do I need Fridamom for all the postpartum items or are other brands just as good, if not better?
Being able to change her while sitting on our bed was so so so helpful.
Personal experiences with hospital postpartum items
The pads they send you home with are huge and a pain to wear!
I wore those Frida undies for about 3 weeks, then just pads.
Comparison of different maternity pads and underwear options.
Fridamom ones look good, but it's just underwear and definetly need to buy extra pads.
I switched over to my big maternity pants and lil-let’s maternity pads which were ace!
Personally I went for regular underwear a couple sizes up, and frankly it was much bigger than I needed!
But the lil-lets were fantastic; no worries about leaking whatsoever.
Skepticism about the necessity of purchasing postpartum products
I love that there's a brand that is taking on postpartum care. But is it worth it?
Skepticism about the necessity of purchased postpartum items
I would 10/10 recommend these. Not only are they an ice pack… they’re ACTUALLY absorbent.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Skepticism about postpartum product variety
I've had my son ❤️ so far, the Frida mom disposable underwear/shorts are super comfy, as well as the Frida mom witch hazel pad liners.
I feel like time is slipping away from me!! Trying to birth on a budget over here 😩.
Would I buy the Frida kit again? No. Not worth the price for slightly elevated hospital freebies.
Concerns about the effectiveness of alternative products
Silverettes don't absorb the milk, they just help heal cracked and sore nipples.
If you want to collect letdown the Haakaa Ladybug is what you need.
Discussion on effectiveness of different postpartum products
Are these worn for an entire day and then you just toss them?
I actually used the disposable pad underwear (incontinence underwear) and they were so much better and more convenient.
Discussion on hospital-provided postpartum items
The Frida Mom labor & delivery hospital bag kit seems so expensive for what you get.
I would ask your hospital what they provide you.
The only thing worth purchasing is the upside down peri bottle.
The only thing I bought were always postpartum pull ups.
Discussion on personal experiences with postpartum recovery kits
Is the Frida Mom Postpartum Recovery Essentials Kit worth it?
If you only get one thing, get the peri bottle from frida mom. It’s the BEST.
The shorts are AMAZING.
Personal experiences with Frida Mom products vary
I loved their peri bottle!
I liked the numbing spray I got in the hospital.
