Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Praise for the thematic elements of the game
I think it holds up well, and really evokes the themes of LOTR; cooperation, travel, corruption, danger, sacrifice.

This kind of beats my favorite game: who can hit something with a rock.
Don't forget the "how many rocks can you sneak into your buddy's pack before he notices" game.
Its all fun and games until you try throwing with your non dominant hand.

Discussion about game instructions and rules
Sorry Road Trip game What is the purpose of the STOP signs in Sorry Road Trip?
Unfortunately, I can't find any other info regarding "car speed" rules, and what determines if the player piece moves forwards or backwards.
I just bought the game and the rules are different than regular.
It's a really difficult challenge and awesome boss fight and you unlock the harder difficulties but without any of the regular new game+ perks or upgrades.
Mention of thrift store options
Or you can go to any thrift store and buy one used.
My favorite one honestly.
Discussion about the Hasbro edition's compatibility with expansions
The new version doesn't have expansions that are compatible with it, so if you want to play with expansions you need the old one.
Discussion about availability of old Hasbro editions in Norway
The game still looks great, especially the Hasbro Sauron/bunny hybrid (that FFG replaced with a piece of cardboard, just sayin...)!
Advice on choosing the correct Hasbro edition
Great game - if you're a LotR fan, you'll love it.

Discussion around custom travel game versions

This is awesome.
Honestly with the standees and the cardboard furniture this looks like the perfect travel box for heroquest.

Talk about the Rustic Series games
There's actually a bunch of games in the "Rustic Series".
My friend did that first time and was livid that the game ended like that.
Discussion on game development and Hasbro's strategy
It seriously seems like a no-brainer to drop a finished module into Larian's 5e game engine.
Hasbro wants to ride the coattails of BG3's success by making a cheap sequel that cost less to make.
wasn’t hasbro looking to start up their own development studio?
Larian does not do that.
Discussion about licensing issues between Hasbro and Games Workshop
This product was such a gateway for nearly everyone I know who plays tabletop war games today.
I’d be surprised if they had any contact with GW.
Plus, Hasbro owns plenty of fantasy IPs due to owning dnd and wouldn’t need to license a setting from an outside company.
the single best thing they could have done was partner with an industry giant like Hasbo.
