Consumer feedback highlights the durability and reliability of the slider, with users noting its impressive build quality and ease of use. One user mentioned, "Having your A cam on a lock off and a B cam on a slider gives you beautiful coverage," showcasing its utility for interviews and creative shots. However, some users expressed concerns about the slider potentially scratching lenses and the practicality of the setup process, stating, "A good concept. But not practical." What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Durable case without lens scratches
The slider has never scratched the lens and it’s a solid case.
My 14 Pro (which has much larger cameras than any other iPhone) has been caseless since launch day, and my lenses are completely flawless.
It’s a slab with openings for the lenses and sensors, and its purpose is to protect the sides of the lenses.
a scientific test is more reliable than anecdotal experience.
Good overall protection
All he needed was Otterbox case and was fine.
the opening for the lens has a lip that should keep the lens from hitting the ground.
Suitable for those seeking a reliable slider
It sounds like the iFootage Nano slider is for you.
Great value with current discount
Seems like a great deal!
Long term software support and ease of use
long term software support, easy to use
Impressive build quality seen at trade shows
I’ve been pretty impressed with ifootage stuff I’ve either used or seen at trade shows.
Excellent tool for interviews
Having your A cam on a lock off and a B cam on a slider gives you beautiful coverage.
It is almost exclusively used for the second angle on interviews.
Good for adding gentle movement in beauty shots
The slider is an excellent tool for adding gentle movement to that type of beauty shot.
Looks like a very good solution for video needs
The iFootage Nano slider looks a very good solution, esp for side interview shots.
Good compatibility for non-tilt needs
iFootage shark slider nano if you do not need tilt control.
Good compatibility with DJI gimbals
Looking for a camera slider for general purpose video... just looking for good quality without breaking the bank.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Slider can scratch the lens
there were to many reviews saying the slider scratched the lens and the cover breaks easliy.
the slider went out of commission after only a month or so with regular usage.
A pain in the ass it was trying to slide it open for a quick shot as it clicks shut.
Slider mechanism is impractical
A good concept. But not practical.
Comparatively heavier than some alternatives
A note of caution though - make sure that your fluid head, camera and lens all fall under the weight limit of what the slider can support.
Long setup and breakdown times
I much prefer using a manual slider due to time constraints and simplicity.
High cost compared to budget options
I definitely wouldn't recommend dishing out $700 for a high end slider if you aren't certain it would be a regular, important part of your tool kit.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on the best sliders available
I tried the NEEWER brand and it was horrible.
The [Zeapon Micro 2] is one of the best sliders out there and has the biggest carrying capacity of any similar unit.
the Rhino Slider is the best I’ve ever used.
I spent 150 on a cheap chinese slider and wish I just saved for a rhino.
Debate on the necessity of sliders in modern videography
Wondering how professionals, and “professional” feel about them. Good/bad, manual/motor etc.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Request for footage examples
Instead of buying a camera slider, I decided to make my own!
But you’re seriously leaving us hanging without posting the video shot by the camera on the slider?
but what does the footage look like? o:
I was waiting for it to switch and I’m so disappointed I’m commenting lol.
Discussion about different motorized sliders and their support
Rhino + arc has gone out of business. No more support for the product.
A great thing to keep in mind is that if you're elevating these at all, plan to support it from both ends.
Edelkrone has had some good solutions over the years, I have an earlier gen pan and slide system that works great.
You can add bars to extend the length, it looks really cool.
Comparisons with other camera sliders
it doesn't really support panoramic or object focus which makes it feel more limiting.
in this price range, I'd get a Kessler Pocket Dolly 3.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Debate on lens durability without protection
Honestly, the camera lenses are durable enough that they don’t need dedicated protection.
Either the camera glass isn’t sapphire or it’s a very low quality sapphire.
Discussion on camera lens safety
I cracked my iPhone 12 Pro Max lense and didn’t even know how or when I did it.
Just find a great case protection and when not holding it.
Difficulty removing the tripod head
the half inch thread seems to it's been freely once the tripod had is screwed on.
Problem solved. I was able to press down and wiggle back and forth - tightening and loosening - then I was finally able to unscrew it.
does it not have bolt access from the bottom?
that manfrotto head is notorious for being difficult to remove because it just does not lock properly on the pan axis.
