Snoop's Take

The Inception HPR High Pressure Regulator is designed to provide precise control over output pressure for paintball enthusiasts. Its advanced features include an increased pressure range, over adjustment restriction, and custom spring for finer adjustments, making it a standout choice for those looking to optimize their performance. Consumer feedback highlights the regulator's ability to fine-tune pressure settings, with one user noting, "Even tweaking the IVG until it’s flush, I can’t get it to stay at a safe level." However, some users have reported challenges with leaking issues related to ASA pin lengths, stating, "It is really annoying especially on my mech where I generally use my on/off as a safety." This contrast in user experiences underscores the importance of careful setup and compatibility with tank systems. Despite the reported leaking issues, the Inception HPR High Pressure Regulator is still recommended for paintball enthusiasts seeking precision and reliability in their gear. Its strengths in adjustable pressure and lighter design make it a valuable addition to any setup, provided users are aware of potential compatibility issues with ASAs.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Ability to fine-tune pressure adjustments

Yea rebuild the reg first to make sure you are not having issues there.
Rebuild the reg then sweetspot it. It shouldn't be leaking then go away.

Leaking issue with ASAs due to pin length
It is really annoying especially on my mech where I generally use my on/off as a safety.
Every single one of these ASAs are actually designed to perfect proportions, but tank manufacturers aren't following the standard pin length, causing leaks until you air it.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Long-time users reflecting on past technologies and experiences with regulators
the tank reg barely matters now.
Comparison of weight differences between regulator setups
A Ninja setup is over half a pound lighter than the HK.
Discussion about aesthetics of regulators
The primary reason for looking at the ID and dye regs is that they're pretty sleek looking and I know dye has a pretty good track record for their regs.
Aesthetically the aka sidewinder is still my favorite (not the round endcap one though).
Personally I am a big fan of the palmers stabs and while they may not be as sexy as some regs they just look right on a cocker.
Discussion on output pressure accuracy of regulators
My inception designs tank output pressure tester is reading 600psi.
All three have that 450 output pressure sweet spot to Field One and Planet.
Not a rare occurrence for Ninja regs. Despite their widespread use, they're really not that great.

Comment on the high price of modern regulators compared to past options
Great write up, this is good info to get out there. It’s comical that you can spend $200+ on just the reg these days.
Mention of brand alternatives without specific feedback on Inception
Custom Products V2 Inline Regulator
Buy a CP regulator and never worry about it again.
Comments on maintenance practices for regulators
I typically do it after each weekend of play anyways.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about performance myths related to tank regulators
The water flow is 100% dependant on the faucet (as long as incoming water pressure is within operating pressures).
If a marker is set at 300fps, a loss of 30fps to 270fps is still an acceptable velocity (to me, and have seen fields limit fps to 270).
Coalition vows to scrap emissions regulations, bring Australia in line with Trump administration as Angus Taylor reignites climate wars.
General commentary on modern regulator quality
Given the rate of fire of pumps any modern reg will easily be up to the task.
Discussion on the effectiveness of various regulators
Worth putting on a KP3? Looking to upgrade/customize my kp3 and wondering if this regulator will A) fit and B) is it worth getting or are there better/cheaper options.
It'll be better than the Azodin reg. If you don't mind a different style, the CP reg arguably better for less money.
It will fit and there are cheaper options out there. Custom Products regs are everywhere. If you are having issues with the Azodin reg, they are known to have shitty reg seats, which is a cheap and easy fix.
If you're not having issues with your stock reg, there's no reason to replace it. As others have said, CP regs are about the gold standard for upgrading regs. I put them on just about every build I can.
Mention of issues with the Azodin regulator
The reg seat replacement worked so well on the KP3 I never even needed the CP regulator.
Concerns about the reliability of pressure testers
how do you know your pressure tester is actually accurate?
Discussion about design standards causing ASAs to leak
It seems as if the main pin is getting pushed too far when screwing on the tank so it leaks around the pin.
