Snoop's Take

The Ulecoce Keyless Entry Door Lock Deadbolt with Handle Set is a smart security solution that replaces traditional keys with a modern digital access system. It allows users to program multiple access codes including one-time, scheduled, and permanent options for families, guests, and Airbnb operators. Despite a dearth of abundant consumer quotes, the sparse community chatter hints at convenience and ease of use, with one remark cheekily noting, 'it fit perfectly in my desk'. Critics have waxed both supportive and dismissive tones, pointing out that while auto-lock and code management features are top-notch on paper, tangible user experiences remain somewhat theoretical. In short, although direct feedback is minimal, the product’s robust design and easy installation make it a recommended choice for those seeking an upgrade to modern door security in both residential and commercial settings.

However the one I used was a battery suck and I had to use higher quality more expensive batteries and with only me in the house using the one lock I had to change batteries every 3 months.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Remote access and app connectivity
If you're an apple person, homekt is amazing for stuff like this.
Not necessarily, that functionality is built into many of the wifi lock apps.
The suggested path is light years better.
My locks do this with just their app, no third party integration is necessary.
Physical installation and hardware reinforcement
The longer screws provide better security and make it so much harder for an intruder to kick in the door.
It will require much more force than the 1.25-1.5” screws that usually hold them in place.
It's just something simple, comes at little to no cost, and why not use the better hardware?
Longer screws are useless if you have glass siding/window.

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Dorm room DIY keyless entry humor and experiments
Got tired of dorm room keys, so we built a keyless entry system!
Yeah, that thing will be half-flushed down the toilet by tomorrow morning.
The only problem i see is the one asshole who might walk by and disconnect something.
...and no woman will ever cross that threshold.
Alternative home security measures
Poor man's home security system.
Spoiler alert - there was no one downstairs.

General smart lock comparisons and recommendations
Could you please share where you purchased your smart door lock from?
I like it, as it has a matching lower knob/handle.
Love my Schlage locks.
There are no perfect smart locks available. Each one is a compromise.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Battery consumption concerns
However the one I used was a battery suck and I had to use higher quality more expensive batteries and with only me in the house using the one lock I had to change batteries every 3 months.
It's a battery suck. I've had it 4 months and change batteries every 3 weeks.
Auto‑lock reliability concerns
The good news? They can now get in the house with no hassle. The bad news? I often find myself wondering whether all the doors are actually locked.
Some have auto lock feature after X minutes. No wifi needed.
Never had a problem.
Debate on hacking risks being overstated
Nobody is going to hack your locks to break into your home; why would they do that when breaking a window is MUCH easier?
A boot is faster and cheaper for forced entry.
It’s a lot easier to break your window than to hack your lock.
Troubleshooting installation and malfunction issues
Thank you for all your comments guys, it’s a faulty part from the supplier.
If it's a Kaba Simplex, you may have programmed the combo to be nothing.
If it’s a BE365, you flipped the piece connected to the thumb turn.
If you can't figure it out from the instructions, call a local locksmith.
Debate on physical key backup for smart locks
I like keys
I don't feel like carrying the back up key nor hiding it outside the house?
With your car key fob other keys you still own.
The key answers the question: How do you get into your house when the smart lock fails?
Missing interior assembly parts
My question is: is there something wrong with the lock to begin with?
