Snoop's Take

The Monster Jam Mystery Mudders 2-Pack includes two official 1:64 die-cast monster trucks that reveal hidden graphics when washed. Designed for children ages three and up, these trucks make playtime exciting with their collectible nature and the fun wash-to-reveal feature. Positive feedback highlights that kids love the wash to reveal feature, with comments like, "they can only wash the 'mud' off one time, so although my daughter enjoys it she immediately says 'can we do it again'". While some concerns about modern Monster Jam events exist, the overall sentiment remains that this product is a hit among kids and collectors alike, making it a recommended choice for young fans of monster trucks.

Monsterjam for beginners? Hi! Im just getting into Monster Jam but am a bit confused about one thing.

Positive Feedback

Monster Jam used to have actual obstacles and destruction. Now it’s just big air and predictable outcomes.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Wash to reveal feature is fun for kids
Monsterjam for beginners? Hi! Im just getting into Monster Jam but am a bit confused about one thing.
There's way too much of an emphasis on tricks. The two-wheel skills thing is boring as hell, while backflips and wall rides are now mundane whereas they used to be special.
I still love big trucks going over big ramps and probably always will.
It's become more or less a live toy commercial for Spin Master, which I guess ties into the whole "it's for kids now" thing you were saying.
Collectible nature appeals to kids and collectors
My favorite part of older Monster Jam was when drivers would keep going after their truck was damaged.
Both third and first (toggle-able camera) if I recall correctly.
Authentic design and details of trucks
Nice.
Kids enjoy the excitement of Monster Jam events.
It really felt none of the drivers, except Digger, Max D, Dragonoid and El Toro Loco, really cared about performing? Only one flip was even attempted (El Toro Loco).
If a driver wants exposure, they usually gravitate to Monster Jam because of how popular it is.
I feel like we often forget how awesome monster trucks are.
it’s impossible to ignore how difficult and badass that was.
Authentic design and details of trucks.
I think we often forget how awesome monster truck DRIVERS are.
Kids enjoy the excitement of Monster Jam events
Hero’s get remembered but legends never die
Kids enjoy the wash to reveal feature.
they can only wash the 'mud' off one time, so although my daughter enjoys it she immediately says "can we do it again".
I was kinda miffed when I realized it was a once wash off and not a color changer.
Monster Jam and Hot Wheels trucks are largely interchangeable
Are Hot Wheels Monster trucks and spin master monster jam trucks and tracks compatible?
Largely, yes. My son has a ton of each and they are mostly interchangeable between the various play sets.
Most of them are compatible no problem. Like the big air challenge playset (or toro loco height challenge) can handle all hot wheels trucks.
The newer Hot Wheels trucks have taller tires but the sets are largely interchangeable.
Collectible nature appeals to kids
Yes, Lee O'Donnell won the freestyle event that year.
Nostalgia for older Monster Jam experiences
I've noticed a lot of posts on this sub are about old trucks and how much better old monster jam used to be and I've noticed that's a common theme with the whole community outside of reddit to so my questions for you is in your opinion what has made monster jam worse
Excitement of live events
Crazy in person
This bot, this bot is the way.
I went to a rally as a kid and boy oh boy if you like feeling an engines rev inside of your bones this is a treat.
This! Coworker talked us into going, I LOVED it!
Kids have a blast at Monster Jam events.
I do have my suspicions that some races are rigged.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Modern events lack excitement and variety
Monster Jam used to have actual obstacles and destruction. Now it’s just big air and predictable outcomes.
The setup for this world finals freestyle seemed like any other track.
I remember watching Speed channel Monster Jam so many times, and watching these huge trucks slam into campers was just the greatest.
it really isn’t what it used to be, but i’m thankful I got to grow up in the prime era of monster jam.
Repetitive tricks and stunts
A few reasons.
Excessive safety measures reduce thrill
I believe they're being overzealous with it.
it gets to a point where there aren't even saves anymore cause the second a truck even starts to flip over they shut it off.
Some of the best moments of my childhood were spent that way.
Boring tracks lack variety and excitement
I wish Monster Jam would get back to what them great in the first place.
2. No more crush cars. I understand why they’re not there but I miss them
Reduced presence of crush cars diminishes the experience
And It just happened to be a Subaru Impreza WRX STI :(
Interviews and presentations feel overly simplified for children.
It also doesn’t help that every time a driver is interviewed, it sounds like they are doing a WWE promo.
Perceived favoritism towards certain teams and drivers.
There's a lot of manipulation and favoritism.
Poor commentary quality
And also the commentary is just dead I watch races from the 80’d and 90’s on YouTube and the Commentators are yelling “GRAVEDIGGER GRAVEDIGGER GRAVEDIGGER!!” And now it’s just bland
Modern events lack excitement and variety.
back when I was a kid, watching them smash cars was better.
Limited availability of variants for trucks.
there’s not a way to tell which one sadly like the small ones in the blind packs
Loss of driver personality in modern events
Modern Monster Jam just lacks the personality it used to have.
Limited availability of trucks
I think grave digger and blue thunder are the only ones they had being sold but I could be wrong.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Collectors appreciate the display of die-cast trucks
My entire Die Cast monster jam collection I’ve been collecting since 2007, not consistently as I was a child in 2007 I’m 20 years old now and have just shy of 320 trucks in my collection, including some nice rare pieces.
Why have I never even thought to put my child’s collection on a bookshelf like this? I love your collection will show my little one when he wakes up he would admire your crew very much!!!!
Love seeing all the classic diecasts together! Makes my heart happy - awesome display.
Discussion about truck appearances in the new Monster Jam video game
The wiki says Brutus, Axe and Velociraptor are gonna be in the game.
I hope that with the alt liveries, the chassis changed with the livery.
Doubtful. We're likely getting a CRD chassis with identical sounds for every truck.
Love seeing Lucas Oil Stabilizer in this.
Discussion on the competitive nature of Monster Jam shows
I went to my first Monster Jam show and it was cool my son loved it but they kept interviewing drivers and talking about winning as if they were really competing for something
I do believe also they truly enjoy the sport because it is an expensive and time consuming job
Fans also vote online now for winners so it's extremely bias.
It didn’t really feel like they were being competitive or cared about winning some drivers like “rammunition” yesterday were kind of like just doing whatever
Nostalgic experiences shared by attendees.
What a time.
Interest in the mechanics of Monster Jam ownership
no matter what they break on the trucks, the company foots the bill.
Impressive evolution of monster truck stunts over time
I never really cared about Monster Trucks but that is insane, absolutely impressive feat.
Discussion on the physics of monster truck stunts
long story short his front wheels being above the ramp ment only his back wheels were affected when he slammed them against it.
I learned this maneuver from the Trials video games haha
I think I understood the physics just by watching the clip but your description made me understand it on a whole new level.
Just like with axe throwing, there’s a bit of an upward angle when the truck launches into the flip, because of the ramp sending it upward.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Interest in rare and unique trucks
Never have seen the Walmart museum truck before but now I want it lol

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Monster Jam and Hot Wheels trucks are generally compatible
Measure the wheel base
Nostalgia for older Monster Jam experiences
First ever Monster Jam Truck front flip
Remember the original BigFoot, how it just went around and squashed a car or two. Unbelievable how far this sport/entertainment has come, these gals/guys are awesome.
Many people start as fans due to their kids' interest.
I don't think I've ever met a person who started out as a monster truck person.
This is exactly me but with Motocross.
Curiosity about track design changes
Was there an incident that caused them to not have as many crush cars?
Discussion about availability in different regions.
shelves were full of them
Comparison to other Monster Jam merchandise.
The monster jam mystery mudders are hard to find lately I just got back into monster jam more recently.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Speculation about truck retirements
Do you think any of these 4 Monster Jam trucks will ever be retired
I think there might be some speculation in regards to Tom meents’s retirement speech that max d will be retired after this season… he states that not only will max d go out on top but he would as well in the video.
I honestly Linda hope Max-D gets retired. Unlike Grave Digger which has a fleet and also Dennis’ kids behind the wheel, there’s really just Blake’s truck left.
Monster mutt prolly
Insight into driver motivations and fan interaction
They are paid to show up and drive the truck/ interact with fans in pit party and do their local morning news appearances.
Never have I ever once seen a driver who looked like they cared more about winning then putting on a show for the fans, this whole sport or at least the Monster Jam version of it is almost exclusive for kids lmao.
Bragging rights and performance over monetary rewards
Bragging rights, being invited back for more shows.
The thrill of live events captivates audiences.
Me 2 aja dont like this sport aja
Discussion about the skill required for performances.
Considering most people can barely drive on the highway I’m gonna say a lot of skill
Nostalgia for earlier Monster Jam experiences
Monster Jam has became soft I'm 100% going to sound like a boomer but I'm used to monster jam from 2008 to 2014 they'd let the drivers drive thru anything broke tire, flat tire, broken tie rod now if literally any breaks the freestyle run is over
I absolutely started out as a monster truck person. They were my favorite things in the world when I was a kid, and I still come back to them now and then even though I've mostly moved on.
The TV schedule is horrid. You never know when it is coming on and almost every episode has been cut into by about 30 minutes by another show.
Discussion about monster trucks and their classification
I like the part where he celebratory smooshes his car at the end.
Truck. He smooshes his truck. Monster truck. You know what you did.
But it's not a truck, there is no bed or trailer hitch.
Crossover SUV, got it.
Reddit discussion on the appeal of monster trucks
Reddit likes to talk all kinds of shit about the world turning into Idiocracy, but we could all use a little more monster trucks in our lives, tbh.
Discussion on safety measures impacting the show
They took the cars away for safety reasons.
For fair and eaquel competition. I know, it sucks, but it's how it is.
Discussion about the production and management of Monster Jam.
Fairly expensive. I think the people who have to pay the extra are a little more careful about what tricks they perform.
Historical context of truck designs and performances.
It’s kinda sad once you start to see it. I really miss the 80's racing.
A lot of the trucks now have that slightly longer chassis look that Meents started.
Nostalgic feelings for earlier Monster Jam events
What Killed Monster Jam? Can't be the only one who noticed a bunch of empty seats in Orlando this past weekend.
I grew up watching monster trucks and this resonates.
Audience perception of driver experiences
I love when they say they can hear the fans in the truck while they're driving. Bitch please.
Especially when I can’t even hear it myself sitting in the crowd 😂 I eyeroll through nearly all of the interviews.
Nostalgia for older Monster Jam experiences.
My initial (and only) introduction to monster trucks (way back when) was the cliche jumping or rolling over a stack of regular cars, and trying to get as much air as possible.
I think it's neat to know these guys probably grew up being amazed by those shows and have taken it to this level.
Discussion about the influence of safety measures on the show
Those happened over a decade ago at least.
If that's the case, then why did they not used to be so trigger-happy on the RII from 2006 to 2014?
Discussion on the skill level of modern drivers
the number 2 clip shoulda been number 1 imo
