Snoop's Take

The Nair Lux Wax is a microwaveable hot waxing kit designed for women, offering a stripless hair removal solution for legs, underarms, and bikini areas at home. With its effective formula, this waxing kit ensures a spa-like experience, making hair removal convenient and comfortable. According to user feedback, many appreciate the easy application and slower hair regrowth, with comments like, "the process was much easier and stress free than shaving." However, some users report challenges such as pain, unpleasant smells, and skin irritation, which suggests that while it has its strengths, potential users should weigh the pros and cons carefully. Overall, the Nair Lux Wax is a product that appeals to those seeking an at-home waxing solution due to its effectiveness and convenience. However, given the mixed reviews regarding pain and skin sensitivity, it may be more suitable for users who are experienced with waxing. For those comfortable with the process, it could be a recommended option in the hair removal category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective for hair removal
Is it worth it to wax at home?
I’d rather not do the wax bc I would feel weird with a random technician doing that to me.
Effective hair removal for larger areas
Highly recommend Veet Sensitive for a hair removal cream that doesn’t totally stink up the bathroom with chemical warfare (lol thank you for that flashback to early 2000s Nair).
Convenient to use compared to shaving
the process was much easier and stress free than shaving.
Slower hair regrowth after repeated use
I found that my hair has been growing back slower, lighter, and less thick since I’ve started using hair removal creams.
I noticed slower growth pretty much immediately after my first use!
Spatula helps with application and removal
I like the spatula that comes with it.
It’s super quick now.
Effective for hair removal over tattoos
Nair is probably fine but I'm allergic so I couldn't say for sure.
If the tattoo is healed it shouldn’t be a problem just follow the instructions closely.
Convenient hair removal method compared to shaving
Waxing only needs to be done every 6-8 weeks and the whole pain thing is really overrated.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Painful removal experience
Brazilian waxes can leave you with just as many ingrowns and just as much discomfort if you don’t look after the skin after your treatment!
Stubble can remain after use
2nd day removes the stubble.
Unpleasant chemical smell
it smells like poison.
Can cause skin irritation
I have super sensitive skin to begin with.
Dont use nair! It could like, get your tattoo really infected.
Can lead to ingrown hairs
Nair does the same thing as shaving.
Ineffective hair removal
Yep. Even if I leave the Nair on way too long, my leg hair still persists.
Unpleasant smell
The smell is why I don't use it. Smells like burnt rotten eggs.
Ugh, the way it smells like it’s burning your hair is grim.
It smells terrible and doesn’t work no matter how long I put it on for.
Skin irritation
The whole area I apply on turns super red for like 1-2 days.
Smells terrible, makes my skin raw and red, and itchy.
Can leave scars from use
Nair gave me a scar-stache in high school.

Worst part is? I still didn't get all the damn hairs off and they bug me so, so much.

Comparisons to other hair removal products
It’s worth it for me to not get razor burn or ingrown hairs. It’s the only thing that works for me.
Discussion on alternatives to hair removal
Don't like it as a method of hair removal but it didn't impact my tattoo at all.
Preference for shaving over creams
So why don’t I hear about people using Nair or other hair removal creams more often? It’s way easier than shaving, less painful than waxing.
Left Nair on for the max time, removed barely any hair and burned the absolute hellfire out of my legs.
Discussion comparing waxing to shaving
No matter what I do I always feel like I'm dying from the itchiness when it grows back.
WAXING PRO'S * silky smooth for a longer period of time (2 weeks for me) * no ingrown hairs * hair grows back more finely.
the regrowth gave me such horrific ingrown hairs that I had to stop.
Discussion about personal experiences with hair removal methods
I honestly can't rate it highly enough. It saves a ton on razors so worth the cost and the time saving oh my god!
Never gone 'bare', so I'm super nervous and embarrassed about getting it done.

Nair'ed once - that was enough for me.
I used nair once, but found with my course leg hairs it took more than one bottle to remove the hair and even then still left some behind.
Discussion about hair removal techniques and preferences
I wouldn't put wax or nair on my face.
I chose wax over this. It seems that stretching the skin a little is better than chemical burns.

Discussion about various hair removal methods.
What is the best waxing kit? I'm not familiar with hair removal at all.
If you have a microwave it’s really easy to heat up, and it’s easy to clean up too.
I do find that it dries out the skin a bit during a waxing service, but I don't ever have to worry about skin lifting.
These are all hardwax products I’ve used for the last 1.5 years on my Brazilian clients and always get those 'wow, I’ve never had a wax that didn’t hurt so little' comments.
Discussion about alternative hair removal methods
I've noticed sugar waxing is much more easy and less painful.
This is a paraffin wax kit not for hair removal.
Discussion about hair removal preferences
I’m fucking sick of shaving.
Razors give me bad bumps.
Discussion about the challenges of shaving
God was it sort of annoying lol.
The worst part is that u will wake up tomorrow and feel the grain again, but if u try to shave it, it will hurt so damn much.
Preference for alternative hair removal methods
I use Veet instead of Nair. Smells better, a little less chemical-ish (but it’s still there).
Discussion about facial hair removal techniques
Is it worth going to get it waxed? Is there drugstore wax I should buy to use at home?
For the upper lip waxing is my preference.
Discussion on hair removal preferences
Did it leave irritation or anything?
Struggles with existing waxing products
I'm tired of buying a product that doesn't quite do what it's supposed to.
I don’t have any advice for the waxing; I only home wax my legs.
Laser, seriously. Start saving for it now.
I also use olive oil on a paper towel to clean up the residue - works a charm 👏🏻
