Snoop's Take

The O-Cedar RinseClean Spin Mop & Bucket System is designed to help you clean your floors efficiently using clean water. This innovative cleaning solution claims to remove 99% of bacteria, ensuring a hygienic clean without the need for harmful chemicals. Consumer feedback highlights the effectiveness of the spin mop in achieving a deep clean, with many users noting that "it picks up so much more dirt than my old sponge mop." Users appreciate the easy-to-use design and the ability to control water usage with the built-in foot pedal. However, some feedback indicates that it may struggle with tougher messes and can leave streaks on certain surfaces, leading to mixed feelings about its overall performance. Overall, the O-Cedar RinseClean Spin Mop & Bucket System is recommended for its unique ability to keep cleaning water separate and for its effective dirt removal capabilities, making it a significant upgrade over traditional mops in its category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective cleaning with clean water
My floors feel clean after. But it's not magic.
It's super easy to use, and I don't dread mopping.
Yes! It picks up so much more dirt than my old sponge mop.
The walls are such a game changer with it especially with kids who have to touch the walls all day long.
Effective on hardwood floors when used properly
I love my spin mop and use it on my real hardwood floors all the time.
No signs of warping or damage (yet) lol.
I’m just careful to wring it essentially dry.
Mop head removes a lot of water for quicker drying
You can really get a lot of the water out of the mop head so the floors dry really quickly.
Better cleaning than Swiffer
o’cedar cleans way better than the swiffer.
Machine washable mop heads
It’s a huge improvement over a swiffer or any single use type of mop.
I will say-my floors got a lot cleaner for longer with the o-ring.
Better than Swiffer
Swiffering is inferior to actually mopping.
Good for frequent cleaning in small spaces
I am a professional high end cleaner and am such a control freak with the proper way to clean an already clean floor that I am the only one that does it at home.
A single bucket has always bothered me, using the dirty water to wash the floor.
Significant upgrade from traditional mops
It’s a significant upgrade from the traditional mop-and-bucket approach.
Effective at removing dirt from floors
the mop and bucket types are a much better way to actually remove the dirt from the floor rather than just pushing it around the room.
Better maintenance compared to flat mops
I've owned both, I have hated both, but get the spin mop.
Good water control with foot pedal
I pump my foot on the peddle quite a bit to ensure most of the water is out.
Better than sponge mops on tile floors
It's much better than a sponge mop on our 1 x 1 tile floors.
Effective on textured wood floors
The o cedar is much easier to use.
Dual bucket for clean and dirty water separation
It puts my Rubbermaid sprayer/flat microfiber style to shame.
Effective dirt removal compared to regular mop
I get so much more dirt off my floors than with a regular mop.
Preference for the RinseClean system for its water separation feature
I really like it, but I also don’t see why you couldn’t just get a separate small bucket for your clean water.
Easy to wring out mop head
Easiest mop to wring ever.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Not effective on tough caked-on messes
all you are ever doing with the mop is pick up a little dirt and spread dirty water around.
Requires frequent water refills
It doesn't.
Confusing water separation mechanism
Put it this way, I have a normal spin mop. I don’t see oodles of grossness flying out when I spin it after rinsing.
Cleaning the bucket is cumbersome
the cleaning of the bucket itself after using was really annoying, which deterred me from using it at all.
Leaves too much water on the floor
But then the foot pedal broke and now I have to wring it out with my hands.
Difficulty in using the foot pedal effectively
You don't hold the handle in place? You let it spin along with the mop head?
Microfiber holds onto dust and hair after washing
I was disappointed that the microfiber holds onto the dust and hairs even after running it through the wash.
Leaves streaks on floors
I get streaks everywhere.
It's always streaky for me too, no matter which detergent or how little I use.
Not effective with certain cleaners
I like Murphy’s Oil soap, and I mop floors daily…no streaks.
Works WONDERS. No streaks.
Mop head bunches up and folds during use
The mop head keeps on flopping/folding/bunching over when I was pushing/pulling and the plastic part of the mop head would drag on the floor.
When I use it on my floor the mop strands bunch up and fold under when I push the mop forward or pull it back.
The scraping is worse on the hardwood floors, and bothers me much more than the bunching.
I only bought it because someone else I know has it and doesn’t have this problem.
Mop head size could be larger
I wish the mop head was a little bigger.

But there is a third party mop head out there that is a scrub brush. That might help you.
