What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Gut hook makes skinning easier
I didn’t like it at first. Now I wouldn’t use anything else.
Would the Benchmade Adamas 375 fit the bill as a hunting knife? Or is it too big?
Rainy weather can add a unique set of challenges to a soccer match or training session.
The weather mats are probably first up…
Lightweight and easy to carry
I generally field dress the animal where it falls, and then drag it out from there just because I don’t generally carry a pack big enough.
I primarily archery hunt. I don’t do overnights and typically walk in less than 15 minutes but some spots I have are closer to an hour.
Attached to exterior of bag: 1. First aid kit (tourniquet, chest seals, quickclot, liquid bandage) 2. Headlamp 3. Quiet water bottle 4. Climbing sticks if I'm using my saddle
A small emergency kit (Fire starter, zip ties, bandages, tourniquet, cell battery charger, compass, backup headlamp, misc other medical/survival things).
Great kit for hunting
Looks like a great kit to be honest.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Difficult to clean due to handle design
You’d get blood and tissue stuck inside/ rotting in the rope handle.
I would avoid a knife with a paracord-wrapped handle, especially if you plan on using for game processing.
Not practical for game processing
Its all around not a practical tool.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Preference for smaller knives in field dressing
I really like a smaller knife for field dressing. I find that I can make cleaner more precise cuts.
General chatter about hunting gear and experiences
Good luck and good timing beats having the "correct" gear lol
Yup, I carry my grandfathers rifle that was made in the 1950s and have killed plenty of deer with it.
To this day I still use Grandpa’s rifle. It is a 35remington PUMP action rifle. Best I can tell by the serial # it was made between 1941 & 1943.
Me, sitting in my grandpa's lawn chair, with his second hand service rifle, drinking a beer.
Discussion about hunting gear and experiences
I don’t think I can go any lighter for hunting without cutting essential items.
You’re right though, when it comes to shaving ounces, it usually comes with a high price tag.

Discussion about the necessity of field dressing kits
Beginner Hunter Costs Hey all, as the title suggests I’m trying to gauge the costs for me to start h
Not sure what is all included in the field dressing set, but every deer I’ve ever cut up I’ve used the outdoor edge replaceable blade knives and bought a pack of gloves from harbor freight.
Just bring a foldable knife and learn how to field dress and quarter a deer.
Pocket knife works fine. Half of this at fc the average person owns already, and much is not needed.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about field dressing equipment
I’ve only ever field dressed a hog once and I did with a what I had to hand, that is to say not a lot.
Anything orange handled & Orange sheathed, blade length approximately your hand width.
This is great advice
My first time doing a deer so I had no idea what I was doing, but the butt out made me not really have to worry about dealing with that end of it.
