Snoop's Take

Pull-Ups Boys' Potty Training Pants are designed to help toddlers transition from diapers to underwear while providing the leak protection of a diaper. They feature refastenable sides and fun graphics that encourage self-dressing and independence. Consumer sentiment is a polarizing affair. Many users praise the design for promoting independence, noting, “They are diapers that you can pull up and down lol,” and highlighting the convenience of the pull-on feature. However, critiques abound regarding the product’s effectiveness in potty training, with some users lamenting that it may actually hinder the learning process. One reviewer bluntly remarked, “I’ve read that pull ups MAY make potty training more difficult, as they’re designed to really keep kids dry.” In summary, while the training pants offer convenience and a refreshing take on potty training with their engaging design and targeted absorbency, the overwhelming negative feedback on potty-training efficacy suggests caution. These pants might be best for parents prioritizing easy changes over the traditional wet feedback method for training.

It’s so kiddo can pull them down and back up to use the potty, but keeps the absorbency of diapers for when they aren’t actually potty trained yet.

Positive Feedback

She treated them like a diaper and would get super frustrated when I would tell her that she peed in them.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Promotes self‐dressing and independence
It’s so kiddo can pull them down and back up to use the potty, but keeps the absorbency of diapers for when they aren’t actually potty trained yet.
I think the training on actually pulling up and down clothing or pull ups is pretty underrated as well.
They are diapers that you can pull up and down lol.
Pullups are great for kids who do stand up diaper changes or have figured out how to pull the tabs to take their diapers off!

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
May be treated like diapers, reducing potty training effectiveness
She treated them like a diaper and would get super frustrated when I would tell her that she peed in them.
For a kid that doesn't mind the feeling of a full diaper, it might not work as well.
Limited sizing options for older or larger toddlers
she can barely squeeze into the 5t/6t Pull-ups which isn't comfortable or practical.
The Large fits perfectly around the waist and sits a little high, a bit above belly button but at least they fit.
Ineffective for daytime potty training
I think they’re pretty useless as kids need to be able to feel the wetness in normal clothes to make the mental connection.
May hinder potty training effectiveness by reducing wet feedback
I’ve read that pull ups MAY make potty training more difficult, as they’re designed to really keep kids dry, so they don’t feel the “ick” sensation of being wet.
I don’t think they help the child they help the adult caring for the child deal with the accidents.
to be honest I'd stay the heck away from pull ups.
He didn’t understand the difference between a diaper, pull-up or underwear.
Inconvenient changing mechanism requiring full removal of pants
I think they're less convenient because you have to full take their shorts/pants off to put a new one on haha
Uncomfortable and scratchy sides
they feel scratchy on the sides, so I’m wondering if there’s a brand others prefer.

Varied potty training methods and experiences
she goes to the bathroom to pee and poop on her own at home now.
I like the way they order the process!
Alternative potty training methods favoring underwear over pull-ups
Underwear all the way!
I agree with going straight to underwear! We did the Oh Crap! Potty training method and it was magic.
A benefit of this is your child feeling what it’s like to get soaked(yuck) and understand how different it is from a diaper.
Trainers are absorbent and will keep puddles off your floor, but they are not completely waterproof so they will leak onto clothes.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Confusion over terminology for training pants versus pull‐ups
Pull-Ups are the disposable version of training pants.
Confusing terminology between pull-ups, training pants, and underwear
Pulls ups are a modified diaper.
Pull-ups are basically a diaper with attached sides.
For potty training you really just want underwear, and pullups for night.
Comparisons with competitor brands and styles
we switched to pull-up style (not actual pull-ups, but Pampers 360 cruisers) around 18 months old, just because putting them on is so much easier.
They just feel softer and more moveable.
