Snoop's Take

The REVLON Crystal C + Ceramic Digital Hair Flat Iron is a compact styling tool engineered to deliver long-lasting shine and less frizz in a single pass. It blends ceramic and crystal tourmaline technologies to offer a range of heat settings suitable for different hair types. Reddit users have been anything but subtle in their debates—while one thrilled fan proclaimed, 'IT DOES NOT SNAG MY HAIR!!' others lamented its potential for serious damage, with comments like 'It cooked my hair. So much breakage and damage.' Some users even noted minimal harm when using heat protectant and lower settings, highlighting the product’s mixed bag of stellar performance against risky heat exposure. In conclusion, this flat iron stands out for its styling versatility and innovative design, but the overwhelming caution about heat damage means it’s best recommended for those who are prepared to use it judiciously. The expert take? It’s a tool with promise, if you’re willing to play with fire.

I love it, I’m actually on my second.
Minimal damage when using heat protectant and low settings
My hair has minimal damage between trims. Much less than when I used my flat iron.
If you’re using a nice heat protectant, and your styler on a lower setting you should be fine.
Durable design, lasting several years
I've had it for 5 years now (using it almost everyday) and it's still in very good condition.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Cheap brands take longer to heat up and may not reach high temperatures
But nobody ever says WHY to avoid the cheaper brands.
If you want a straightener, you're better off forking out for a good quality one that will last.
But, cheaper irons tend to take forever to heat up, don't get very hot, and break easily.
Users feel they get what they pay for with flat irons
From my experience, you definitely get what you pay for.
Flat irons can cause significant hair damage
I think the brush is the way to go!
Flat irons are probably the worst thing you can do to your hair, it's basically burning it.
A blow dryer would cause less damage.
I won't use a flat iron at all.
Causes hair damage and breakage
It cooked my hair. So much breakage and damage.
It fried my hair.
I didn’t find it gave me much volume but it did help smooth and straighten my wavy hair.
Can cause hair damage on high settings
That puppy gets HOT! Definitely did some damage to my hair on the high setting.
Inexpensive straighteners tend to perform poorly
Best straightener under 27 dollars?
If you buy your friend a $27 straightener, it's going to be low quality or will break within a few uses.
