Snoop's Take

The THREE ARCHERS Archery Arrow Rest Brush Capture Arrow Rest is designed to enhance your shooting experience with both compound and recurve bows. Featuring a fully enclosed brush that holds the arrow securely, it ensures total containment and improved accuracy during hunts and target practice. Consumer sentiment regarding this product highlights its versatility, with many users noting, "the whisker biscuit... holds the arrow better and my shoots were more accurate." While most beginners and experienced shooters appreciate its ease of use and stability, some feedback suggests issues with mounting on certain risers and off-center arrow positioning. Users have also pointed out that while the brush rest is effective, it is not ideal for barebow archers due to its design. Overall, the THREE ARCHERS Arrow Rest is recommended for those looking for a reliable rest that supports both novice and skilled archers, though potential buyers should consider compatibility with their specific bow setup before purchasing.

Drop Away Arrow Rests Hi! I've been shooting targets and cans with a Sanlida Dragon X8 for about 2 months now, ~2 hrs/day and 3-4 days/wk. The whisker biscuit that comes with the thing is real worn out.

Drop Away Arrow Rests Hi! I've been shooting targets and cans with a Sanlida Dragon X8 for about 2 months now, ~2 hrs/day and 3-4 days/wk. The whisker biscuit that comes with the thing is real worn out.
The thing is that, I don't know which arrow rest should I choose to set the nocking point permanently. I have shot with both and I preferred the whisker over the other. It holds the arrow better and my shoots were more accurate.
Whisker rest holds arrows better and improves accuracy
Of those options I would use the brush rest.
Good for spot & stalk hunting
Pros of drop away: faster, more accurate

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Not ideal for repurposed compound risers
People need to stop buying this crap so they stop making it.
Stick-on rest may not mount properly on certain risers
the arrow is off-centred with that rest because it's designed to be used with a plunger/button which lets you set the centre shot of the bow.
Arrows can drop off if not using a clicker or with improper form
It will fall if you do one of these things:
There shouldn't be contact between the arrow rest and the fletching as your arrow bends out of the way as it leaves the bow.
Not recommended for barebow archers due to thin wire
Don't recommend barebow archer use rest like shibya one that have a thin wire.
Arrow points slightly off center when in position
The rest causes the arrow to point slightly off centre when in it’s normal position, but it has this spring function that allows the arrow to point straight when pressed in, but it doesn’t stay in unless I’m holding it.
the arrow will push that aside when the fletches hit it. but without the plunger you might try shooting off the shelf and see if it handles better.
It’s simply a metal bar that springs in and out and I can’t see anyway to adjust it.
Rest may hold arrow out farther than other models
it seems like the rest is sticking out too far.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on various arrow rest types and their suitability
I had a QAD Ultrarest that worked ok, but had issues with vane clearance(short arm), so keep that in mind.
If you are doing target archery (ie. 0° elevation shots), a blade style rest will give you the most consistent results.
all the rests sucked and I just shot off the shelf on the bow that was the only way to shoot for me.
What's the main difference between normal rest and a drop away rest? Arrow get less affected by the rest?
Discussion on various arrow rest types and preferences
Finally the Zniper is very good, but it’s the trickiest to setup and tune.
Discussion about the suitability of different arrow rests and plungers
Should I replace my basic arrow rest with a better one and get a plunger or just cut off the end of the plastic arrow rest as suggested elsewhere?
If this is basically a metal ILF Olympic recurve riser, then the Shibuya DX plunger and Spigarelli ZT rest would be very good places to start.
They haven't arrived yet, though, so unfortunately I can't give you a review yet.
Shibuya DX like others have said is a good cheaper option.
Discussion on adjustability affecting performance
There are no "best", just what you prefer. At higher price points, you're mostly paying for the adjustability.
General opinions on other arrow rest options
What is the AAE one like
Discussion on preferences for arrow rests
Can’t really find much info on it either. But I’m open for suggestions!
Shibuya - top of the line, easy to adjust for all arrows
Set it and forget it. But I stringwalk and kept getting told it was going to break (it never did). By far the most forgiving of arrow clearance.
Simple and strong. I've had good experience with the Decut Nova rest which is a more budget option for my class bows.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Various techniques to prevent arrows from falling off
An archer can't add a clicker too early, their draw length has to be quite consistent in order to benefit from it.
Discussion on securing the arrow rest wire during storage
I use a velcro cable tie to secure the wire from my rest against the riser when I pack it because I'm paranoid that way.
I've never had a problem with the rest wire arm snagging while sliding the riser into the sleeve.
Tape it down, generally. I definitely won a match at Outdoor Nationals because my opponent’s rest got messed up pulling the riser out of a sleeve.
Discussion comparing drop away and whisker biscuit rests
Preference of a drop away rest or a whisker biscuit? What are the pros and cons of each and does everyone have a set preference?
The general consensus is that drop aways are better because after you fire the release the rest has no contact with the arrow.
Drop away for target shooting. (less contact more noise)

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on finger placement affecting arrow rest performance
My coach had me angle my fingers in a slanted grip. It made a big difference and is now more comfortable for me.
I frequently shoot a few ends without my clicker to check that it's not going off before I'm in full alignment, and never have any issue with arrows falling off it.
Discussion on the Archer's Paradox and arrow flexing
Isn’t shooting off center part of the Archer’s Paradox?
