They worked! I used the Wondfo ones and the Easy@Home ones.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective for detecting LH surge
They worked! I used the Wondfo ones and the Easy@Home ones.
Yes, loved them!
In my opinion, testing for LH surge using OPK tests is the best way to go for accuracy.
Ovulation day? Today or tomorrow?
Cost-effective compared to other brands
The advantage with the brands I mentioned is that they're pretty cheap, so you don't worry about wasting them in order to nail yours down.
Convenient to use with quick results
it seems to be a common theme that they can be tricky to use/interpret.
Reliable results compared to other brands
I'll never use the clearblue ones again. I'd go with what the dip strips say :)
Convenient and easy to use
The test that reads 3.03 is backwards! So it might be reading the lines opposite of what they are if that makes sense.
Effective for tracking ovulation
**TLDR: Keep testing a few days after you think you've got a positive OPK to make sure they're getting lighter and not darker. Do it for science.**
I decided to switch to Wondfo based off Reddit preferences and overlap the 2 brands in November after AF finally showed up.
Ovulation test still isn't positive - is it possible I missed the window?
It's definitely possible you could have missed it....although usually for me I start to see a darker test line before a positive.
Easy to interpret results
I was getting up to 4 days of positives with Wondfos (with varying levels of darkness) and never had less than a pretty substantial line, which made them confusing to interpret.
I get blazing positives about CD12 on average but I keep testing just to make sure.
Convenient to test multiple times a day
I started taking one in the morning and one in the afternoon and the only positive OPK I ever got was with first morning urine.
I also held my urine and tested 2-3 times/day to make sure I didn't miss my LH surge.
Effective for tracking LH surge
I have always had luck with wondfo's.
Gradual increase in LH detected
I actually prefer the Clear Blue ovulation tests personally, for whatever reason they're the only tests that give me a clear absolute positive.
Then, on my positive day, it suddenly becomes blazing positive for maybe 12 hours and then it's gone.
Allows testing multiple times a day
Even testing twice a day I only got one positive test.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Cannot confirm ovulation without additional tracking
Ovulation tests cannot confirm ovulation, they only predict when your body is trying to ovulate.
I hate them. I love my Clearblue Fertility Monitor more now because it just always detects my surge and just tells me, it's more reliable.
Tests can cause anxiety if results are not as expected
You have tested CD18 is upside down so recorded wrong.
Confusing results with almost positives
I have PCOS and get 'what you thought was positive' almost nearly every damn day lol.
most of the time they look *almost* positive.
Tests can cause anxiety when results are unclear
OPKs honestly stressed me out because I never really got a good flow of when to test and got tired of not drinking.
Difficult to determine positive results
I totally regret getting Wondfos even though they were so cheap because I can never tell if they're positive!
I hardly use OPKs anymore because I never seem to catch the positives!
Difficult to determine positive results initially
Once you get a positive it will be really obvious what positive looks like :)

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Using both Wondfo and digital tests for confirmation
I almost always get a 'peak' on the wondfo's before the clearblue.
I got a positive Wondfo the afternoon before I got a peak reading in the morning on the CB.
I used the cheapos (not wondfo...don't find it worth the extra money).

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Testing multiple times a day can improve results
They work for me; I’m able to catch two days of positives.
Some women have a very short surge.
Surge timing may vary by individual
I actually ovulate later than ‘average’ each cycle.
I personally tend to ovulate the same day as my positive OPK, FWIW.
You could easily have been missing your LH surge and wrongly timing sex too early in your cycle.
Hydration affects test results
For me I'm kind of backwards... I get darker lines in the morning even though one isn't supposed to use FMU.
Individual variations in ovulation timing
it’s entirely possible that you have a 29-day cycle, but not a 14-day luteal phase.
Individual variations in LH surge patterns
Not sure if my hormone levels changed after having #1 or if this batch of Wondfos is different.
Hoping to see a blasting positive in the next couple of days because I'm getting the EWCM, the soft, high, open wet cervix, the wet everything, and I'm CD10.
Some people have a very gradual increase in their surge. Some people have a very sharp increase.
But then again, my cycles are quite regular.
Preference for more sensitive tests like ClearBlue
I feel like clear blue are more sensitive than the other off brands I've used.
Alternative brands can be clearer and cheaper
The lines were *clearly* dark or not. Plus, cheaper.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Frustrations with other brands lead to Wondfo preference
I was frustrated with the Clear Blue Easy before - I never felt I got consistent results.
All I read is bad news about those clearblue digital ones.
Tests capture a moment in time and may miss surges
These tests only capture a moment in time so you may have caught the surge just below the threshold of those tests.
