Snoop's Take

The A-Premium Engine Coolant Radiator Assembly is designed to provide effective cooling solutions for various Chevy and GMC vehicles with automatic transmissions. This product not only features an included oil cooler but also boasts a 1.26-inch core thickness for better cooling performance compared to standard options. Consumer feedback highlights the product's affordability and decent performance, with some users stating, "Half the price of the popular auto parts stores." While many appreciate the cost-effective nature of the radiator assembly, concerns regarding quality persist, with comments noting it as "just the bottom of the barrel Chinese parts." Overall, the product is praised for its good fit and performance, as well as quick shipping and customer service. Based on the mixed yet generally positive feedback, the A-Premium Engine Coolant Radiator Assembly is recommended for those seeking budget-friendly replacement options, particularly if they are prepared for the possibility of regular replacements.

Cost-effective for passing inspections
just know you will probably have to replace them in the future at some point.
I wanna look any alternative for radiator since my radiator leak coolant out so I was wonder if buying the old model will it fit into the new one or any suggestion is appreciate!
Cost-effective for frequent replacements
the quality is probably ok, and for the price, you can probably change them much faster, which can be a good thing.
Affordable replacement parts
Not really wanting to spend $800 on a coil. Found the site a-premium and they seem to be working great so far.
Glad to hear a-premium is good, their turbos are ‘very affordable’.
They fit right on the money and the van drives like new again.
If you can pump out volume for cheaper why wouldnt you? Doesn't mean the parts are garbage.
Good fit and performance
Been running their 300-400$ turbo for 3+ years and so far so good
Positive experiences with various parts
I'll bookmark it
Good customer service and fast shipping
their service was great: they were patient, and the shipping was faster than expected.

Perceived as low-quality Chinese parts
A-premium is just an amazon brand as far as i know so its just the bottom of the barrel chinese parts.
Brand reputation questioned
If a brand has to call itself premium, it never is.
Worries about non-OEM parts harming engines
Needing to replace my ignition coils, a-premium has them for a price that's in my budget, but I'm worried about hurting my engine putting non oem in there
Concerns about quality and defects
Are they cheaply made any known defects?

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about radiator materials and preferences
What are your guys upgrades to your engine cooling system?
Plastic end tanks aren't an outlier, they're far and away the most common radiator you'll find on new cars for decades now.
No sense in paying a premium for something you're not going to notice an improvement in.
A radiator can’t work if it’s clogged with sediment or if another component is failing.
Discussion on radiator brand quality
Spectra are inexpensive, but they seem to only last a couple years before failing again.
Last several Denso radiators I have used have been made in China and looked no different than any other aftermarket one.
I've used a few of the Spectra Premium ones with no problems.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Concerns about sourcing and branding
The low price as well as the "A-Premium" name strike me as a cheap Chinese knockoff and I'm hesitant to buy it vs the Fram or Denso I usually use.
Discussion about vehicle compatibility and experiences
I just bought a power steering pump from them on Amazon for my wife's 08 Accord.
General automotive maintenance advice
This is why we do daily maintenance.
This isn't correct. That vehicle may have been overheating, but even on a perfectly functioning cooling system the radiator cap is designed to hold on average 12-16 PSI of pressure in the system.
underrated comment
Recommendation for alternative radiator supplier
No. Go to radiatorbarn.com and price check there, I've always been happy with them, and they can do custom stuff as well.
Discussion on coolant flushing and services
$200 is kind of appealing (maybe it’s steep price because so cal)
Do it. Your time is valuable.
unless it’s diluted or the DCA level is low.
Discussion about price differences between Amazon and AutoZone
It’s great to pay cheaper but I also want quality parts for my car.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Varied experiences with different vehicles
The radiator for the BRZ is the same as the one for the gr86 if you’re just wanting to stay stock.
Getting an aftermarket radiator that is higher quality than the OEM one requires even more money.
Go OEM, see if you can find one for cheap. Koyo is going to be the last one you buy but you pay a premium for it.
Heat management in spacecraft design is crucial.
Temperature management is a crucial aspect of spacecraft design, both manned and robotic.
Radiation is the primary heat transfer method in space.
Heat can be a bigger issue than it is on Earth.
Heat radiated is proportional to the fourth power of temperature.
It should be noted that the amount of heat radiated is proportional to the fourth power of the temperature.
Discussion on radiator cap safety and pressure
Idiot Removing Radiator Cap When Engine is Still Hot
Well. If it wasn't for him being an idiot, I would've never seen what happens when you pull off the radiator cap too soon in that situation.
TIL I’ve been overly cautious with my radiator cap this whole time
I think this guy has a blown head gasket that's producing way more pressure in that cooling system than is normal.
Varied personal experiences with radiator issues
Some of the worst pain I ever felt.
Sometimes dumbasses can learn.
It’s a red antifreeze.
Dexcool.
Discussion about the dangers of overheating
When my Acura overheated I would shut off the car. An turn the ignition on and the A/C would run the fans.
It would only get like this if you took it off right after you cut the car off and by the looks of it, i think he has oil in his coolant as well.
I always thought there was an overflow hose near the cap that allows for outflow into a reservoir when the heated fluid expands.
Spoiler alert; it wasn’t.
Concerns about aftermarket radiator quality
No brand is mentioned on rockauto, and I worry that it may not be put together well enough.
If it fits and cools acceptably but is lower quality it's not going to last as long.
