Snoop's Take

The AUROCE Wireless Controller is designed for gamers seeking a versatile and ergonomic controller compatible with PS4, PS3, and PC. Featuring a transparent design with RGB lighting, this controller not only enhances your gaming experience but also adds a stylish touch to your setup. User feedback highlights the AUROCE controller's excellent price-to-performance ratio, with many stating, "this cheap controller can't be beaten." Gamers appreciate the ergonomic grips that enhance comfort, and the back paddles are noted as a game changer for gameplay. However, some users have pointed out drawbacks such as poor RGB lighting quality and battery life, with one reviewer commenting, "Battery dies so fast." Overall, despite some concerns regarding the RGB lighting and battery performance, the AUROCE Wireless Controller is recommended for those looking for an affordable alternative to premium controllers while still enjoying solid performance and comfort.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Good price-to-performance ratio
Price to performance this cheap controller can't be beaten.
Reliable performance and no issues reported
I own 2 T4K and they are flawless. I’d say they outperform my MS Elite Series II easily.
Ergonomic grips enhance comfort during gaming
Is the Dual-sense edge controller worth it ? I was looking at this and it looks like it takes gaming to another level but at a price pong or $199 is it worth it over the regular dual-sense controller?
Back paddles improve gameplay experience
Back paddles are a game changer for some games, really love having those now.
If the controller is to be plugged in all the time it would be wired.....
Good build quality compared to other controllers
Analog sticks can be changed easily and cheapish($20 a stick, but my launch day ps5 controllers never had stick problems, replaced left analog on edge after 1 month.
Compared to the Xbox Elite, the Edge is very well built.
Easy thumbstick replacement
get someone to change the module inside to Hall effect and you’ll never need to buy those replacement sticks for the edge .

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Poor RGB lighting quality
The RGB? It's trash.
D-pad not suitable for fighting games
the rest of the controller is good.
Poor battery life
It's great controller, way better the the base Dualsense but not that much to justify the pricetag.
Battery dies so fast. It was kinda a shock after owning Xbox elite controller.
My only gripe with it is the low battery life.
Limited back buttons
just 2 extra back paddles isn’t enough for me
Issues with grips coming unglued
Honestly it’s amazing besides 1 thing the grips where your hands are at can come unglued or whatever and that’s the only dissatisfaction I have with the controller.

Discussion on various controller models with hall effect joysticks.
only the Ultimate Bluetooth and it’s spevial editions have the Hall Effect Joysticks
specifically the "Ultimate Bluetooth" version. Any other Ultimate controller dont seem to have it
Wrote them an email and got replied “Ultimate Bluetooth + 40F edition and 10th Year edition”
The "Ultimate Bluetooth", which has the Switch ABXY button layout, is the one which uses Hall Effect joysticks

Discussion on controller usage with PC games
First time playing... I hate Maurice. Is there any way to play with a controller?
There is a way, and in fact, the game has an official controller support! Just connect whatever controller you want to your pc (As long as its compatible, of course. Use google to figure all of that out) and the game will detect it automatically.
It has other support too
there’s even controller vibration support which can be very useful
Discussion on controller usage with FPS games
People who say ultrakill sucks on controller probably use this to play Its SO much easier to move with a controller.
You're just more used to controller controls
it is significantly easier to play than with a controller.

Confusion among users regarding controller selection
every Hall effect controller on the market seems to be simultaneously the best and worst.
Comparisons to other controllers regarding battery life
my PS5 controllers are almost always down to 25% after one play session.
it's very likely just because of all the features, the DualSense has a lot going on all of the time, which Xbox controllers don't have any of, and this takes a toll on the battery.
Comparison of controller vs keyboard and mouse
Also I recommend continuing to play on keyboard + mouse, in my opinion controller is better for games where you don't need to aim on something, for example 2d games like hollow knight or rain world.

Positive feedback about 8BitDo controllers as a category.
8BitDo has been making some of the best controllers recently, and I’d be thrilled to try them out.
great controller
This gamepad demonstrated incredible speed, and the test results confirmed my expectations.
I will get mine in two days so You made me excited for this one!
Discussion on controller replacement and durability
Do you also use an Ethernet cable, and have gigabit internet? Turn down all graphics settings, and streaming? Turn off haptics on the controller?
My buddies who have Xbox elite controllers have gone through at least 2 or 3.
Discussion about the historical context of controller design
Why is the D-Pad on the left? This is not a facetious question - I've been curious about this, but all the sources I've found have been speculative.
American Game manufacturers in the late 70's/early 80's identified early on that most people would use their right hand for controlling the joystick and the use their left hand for any sort of action button. Now on most early controllers, especially the Atari (easily one of the most popular home consoles), there was only one button usually in the top left, with a huge joystick in the middle. This fit the games of the time which usually didn't require much beyond a joystick and maybe the occasional button press; think pac-man or space invaders. There were exceptions of course. The early pong consoles in the late 70's had dials that needed to be turned. There were also early consoles like the Mattel Intellivision, Colecovision and the Ataris 5200 that had the joystick at the top and some weird keypad on the rest of the controller. However, none of these consoles were really
Just to add on to this, the d-pad was originally invented for the Game & Watch series of handhelds N
