Snoop's Take

The Easton Flipside 2-Tube Hip Quiver is designed for archers seeking a practical and versatile quiver that accommodates both left and right-handed users. With its ambidextrous design and molded arrow tubes, this quiver provides an efficient way to carry and access arrows during shooting sessions. Consumer sentiment reflects a strong appreciation for the quiver's value, with users noting that it offers "good value for the price". The ambidextrous design enhances usability, making it a favorite among archers who appreciate the convenience of arrows pointing behind them, which helps prevent interference while drawing. However, some users have expressed concerns over the "poorly designed belt connection", indicating that while the quiver is functional, there are areas for improvement in its design. Overall, the Easton Flipside 2-Tube Hip Quiver is recommended for archers looking for an affordable, high-quality quiver that offers comfort and good arrow separation, despite minor design flaws. It stands out positively in its category, making it a solid choice for both novice and experienced archers.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Good value for the price
You won’t be missing out.
Ambidextrous design
The Flipside is ambidextrous, and the Range Lite you can choose either right or left hand.
Comfortable to draw arrows from
Consistency improved slightly from less movement between shots and it just felt better drawing an arrow from on my person, rather than a tube in front of me.
Quiver can be worn without a belt
You don’t need pants with belt loops, the quiver will hang off any belt, just put the belt around your waist.
Arrows point behind you, not in the way
Arrows point behind you so they don't get in your way.
High quality materials used
Easton makes far better equipment. Their quivers are larger, come in different colours and are made of far better materials than cartel brands.
Better arrow separation with tube design
Upvoted for this and the tubes are better for separating arrows with fletchings.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Poorly designed belt connection
Its old and has a poorly designed belt connection though.
Back quivers can be awkward and require range of motion
Back quivers aren't for everyone, they can be awkward, you can't see what you're grabbing, they require a decent range of motion, you need to be mindful of what's above you, and it's harder to get it to sit right.
Limited space compared to other quivers
I use an Easton field quiver and I really like it, although it doesn’t have a load of space.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on left-handed quiver options
I have 2 daughters that have started shooting bare bow recurve competitively with 4H.
Legend XT-420 field quiver comes in LH.
Lancaster has several affordable quivers, and nearly all of them have a left handed option.
It was a step up from using a single rubber boot.
Discussion on various quiver brands and their features
Will something like an Avalon Tec-X last me for a few years, or do I need to bite the bullet and get something that's a bit further up there in price?
Buy once cry once. If you want something that holds a decent amount of things, look at something like a push quiver.
they have a somewhat configurable modular system that allows you to carry a tool pouch, waterbottle holder, and other options to fit your needs.
Avalon makes good affordable quivers. I have the Tec 1, and it's held up for several years now.
Discussion of different quiver types
for compound and Olympic.
Most people prefer hip quivers for target shooting.
Discussion on quiver orientation for different shooting styles
Target shooting or field shooting
I didn't know this... what is the reasoning for the difference in target and field shooting quiver directions?
I shoot a field quiver at all types of events. As you said its just a preference thing.
Discussion on craftsmanship and materials used in custom quivers
Hip quiver fresh off the bench.
Discussion on benefits of arrows facing forward
The arrows-facing-forward configuration can get in the way if you need to move your arms around a lot.
Variations in quiver preferences
Field quivers are not all the same. I like one that is a little shorter so it doesn’t bounce on my knee when walking.
Discussion on different quiver types
Tired of the hip quiver I have with the arrows tilted to the front getting in the way.
Belt quiver. With a hook of some sort, no elaborate straps etc.
Those side stealth quivers look handy, the ones with a hole towards the bottom so you can pull arrows out by the point.
Nomadic Arts Archery “Eastern Quiver”
Strong opinions on quiver types and their preferences
Target and field (forward and backward facing) quivers are probably the single most thing in archery that generates so much feeling from people, but is honestly down to the preference of the archer.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Personal experiences with DIY quivers
Target is more comfortable relaxed muscles when taking an arrow
Personal experiences with different shooting styles
Part of the reason while I use different quivers for my bows is because I shoot my recurve right-handed and I shoot my compound left-handed.
Discussion on alternative ways to wear a quiver
Could you wear a hip quiver without a belt? [solved]
It's not that scary to wear a belt. You don't need grown-up pants with belt loops to wear a belt.
You can, some will like clip onto your pants, but it's MUCH better with a belt.
I prefer using it over my clothes, rather than putting the quiver belt through my loops.

General quiver pricing and options
I've been looking at the redesigned Avalon Tec One target quiver, so if anyone here can tell me if they're any good, that'd be amazing too!
Avalon, Krossen, Aurora, Fivics, Legend etc.. all make some excellent quivers for around the £30 mark that will serve you well with plenty of change from your £60.
No issues at all with a back quiver.
I find it hurts reaching over my shoulder for a back quiver, and a belt quiver catches on everything.
Discussion on different quiver types and their uses
Opinions on quivers I am a field archer and I currently use a Hip quiver but I am thinking of purchasing a cylindrical back quiver from my local archery shop however before my purchase I was hoping I could receive some comparisons between the two types and personal opinions of the types
This is a really solid breakdown. If you are doing field, I personally recommend a field quiver (shocking). I use both a hip and a field quiver. I use the hip for indoor shooting because it holds my line cutters better, and I can carry almost my entire set of range tools. I use then field outdoors because arrows are smaller, and it's much easier to walk with.
Discussion on quiver types and their uses
I mean it depends. On the range it's impractical - in the field it's pretty nice since it's more stable.
I prefer a back quiver. It gets some getting used to, but it's fun when you get the hang of it.
Preference for hip quivers over field quivers
Hip quiver all day every day. AND ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME… is hopefully having a good time slinging sticks and enjoys themselves.
I like a field quiver. I feel it doesn’t bounce around as much when I’m walking. Plus, pulling the arrows up from right behind my hip feels more fluid to me.
Discussion on pricing for quivers
Looking at the price range, everything looks about identical.
I spent 30 on my Avalon field quiver. It's held up really well for a year now and has all the features I need.
Comparison of different quiver types and preferences
Which quiver(s) are you using? Which quiver are you using and how do you like it?
It really works out great. Holds plenty of arrows. Probably upwards of 30.
I made a back quiver out of a length of giant bamboo. I added shoulder straps, and bingo! Got a great quiver.
Hoyt field quiver in red. Took some getting used to but is great as it doesn't slap against my leg as I walk.
Preference for quality over quantity in equipment
Quality over quantity, its like why I wear Oakley sunglasses, because they fit good and are extremely good quality, whereas $15 sunglasses arent always comfortable and break after a few months

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on surfer experiences and quiver preferences
It’s just how you’d think it would be it essentially tries to give you a short board experience in small waves.
Super sick bro, thanks for the details. Quite the Pyzel groupie!
Getting used to all the extra rubber and colder water up here makes me want more volume in my boards.
Installation challenges with the pouch
Easton hip quiver pouch easy install help
The buttons are made such that they can only be taken off/put in a certain direction.
looks like it should be enough to either place one hand on the inside and press with the other hand or place the quiver on a table and then press the pouch in place.
