The FCMP Outdoor IM4000 Dual Chamber Tumbling Composter is designed for efficient composting of kitchen and yard waste. Made in Canada from 100% recycled resin, this 37-gallon composter allows users to easily mix compost without manual labor, thanks to its tumbling design. Users express positive sentiments about the composter's effectiveness in reducing waste, with one user stating, "But it does help with reducing waste!" Many beginners find it easy to use, often highlighting that it's a great way to start composting. Additionally, the dual chamber feature allows for continuous composting, making it easier to manage scraps and produce compost throughout the year. Overall, the FCMP Outdoor IM4000 is recommended for those looking for an easy-to-use tumbling composter, particularly for beginners and those with limited space. While there are some concerns regarding the time it takes to finish compost, the benefits of effective waste reduction and usability seem to outweigh the drawbacks.

I have a hard time mentally with purchasing worms.

Sounds like a tumbler would be a good investment for the winter months in the future.
Two chambers allow continuous composting
It’s nice because when one side is full I can add to the other side while the full side starts to decompose.
I would recommend a sunny place to speed things along.

I’d go for the larger one, it’s bigger and sturdier.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Takes longer to finish compost
Seems like they are a good option if you can't do other methods of composting but overall not the most ideal.
It won’t hold a ton, and it won’t get super hot and make that picturesque fine grained compost you see in bags, but you’ll get compost eventually.
They tend to just clump all the material inside into a slime ball even with extra browns.
Difficult to retrieve ready compost
It was hard to remove compost from.
it was a pain in the rear to empty.
it’s not terrible just a lil more time consuming than I’d like.
Can form clumps if not balanced properly
A pile on the dirt that you turn with a shovel once in a while is a much better option.
Reported issues with compost quality
It didn’t compost very well and made composting more difficult.
Too small to generate sufficient heat for composting
I find mine was too small to get hot enough to compost.
Cumbersome and awkward to use
Looking for a BIFL Compost Tumbler! [BIFL Request] Interested in both small indoor and large outdoor
Cumbersome, awkward, weird weight distribution makes for weird balance issues... I do the same thing as DrewTheHobo and just mix mine up with a pitchfork.
If I could unbuy it I would. The large tumbler is not big enough for even a tiny fraction of the leaves or grass clippings my treeless half-acre produces.
