Rope-tying hacks? Just saw this hack to make a climbing rope really fast in LPT (LifeProTips) and it made me wonder if there are some basic, potentially life-saving knots that we should learn before SHTF?

Thanks for the memory! I personally hate paracord and think it is massively over rated.

Super-duper ultralight accessory cord for the weight-conscious climber.

General discussion about accessory cords and preferences

I love sterling 5.9mm powerchord. It's great for building anchors, lightweight, and is rated to 19kn.
+1 for powercord. I use it for my cordelette anchors and chalk bag strap in case I need extra bail gear on a multi-pitch.
Powercord on the rack, 7mm cordalette in the pack. If I need to bail or backup an rap, I'd rather not leave the powercord.

How to rack any water with like 10 grams of 3mm cord
>How **NOT** to rack any water with like 10 grams of 3mm cord
so much better to do it this way without all that extra cord
Do people really climb with a bottle racked to their harness? No shame but I feel like that would be so annoying on top of gear.
General discussion about accessory cords and preferences.
Guaranteed, you're going to get a bunch of people saying "I can do this easily. I don't see what's so hard about it."
Discussion about the prevalence of low-quality climbing gear
The number of cheap Chinese ropes with sewn loops and unrated carabiners on both ends appearing under the climbing ropes section is deeply concerning to me.
