Would there be anything wrong with seasoning it like a normal cast iron skillet? I got it for cheap and don’t know if I can put in the $100+ to get it re-dipped in tin.
The issue with polymerized oil seasoning is it's porous, so it'll rust eventually if you don't apply oil / heat regularly.
