Its pretty good quality and while I'm sure it's not the best thing out there, it does the job and I've never really had any problems with it.
Affordable option compared to high-end brands
buying an expensive stand for a cheap mic doesn't feel right.

Any $20-$25 boom arm will do.

I had a Neewer arm, and my advice would be to spring for the Rode PSA1.
Product perceived as cheap and low quality
It is cheap for a reason and despite trying a lot of things I was not able to get it to stop transferring sound very much.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on microphone stand size and performance
How good is this? I have one but it’s pretty small and kinda loud and was wondering if this was worth buying to replace.
General talk on microphone stand usability
Holds position well but is easy to get out of the way when needed.
Discussion about features of different microphone stands
I have to do weird stuff like have the lower part of it lying on the desk and the upper part sticking upward which is not very comfortable.
That actually looks really nice, I might just make it fit beside my computer set up.
You can slide it back and forth, but it'll always be that same total length.
I think that instead I'll go for a bit more expensive version since it doesn't have the complaints the $20 one had in the reviews.
Discussion about heavy-duty microphone stands
I'm personally using K&M tripods between live sound and recording applications but also curious what people recommend for a heavy-duty stand that's quick to deploy and portable.
they're just head and shoulders above anything else I've used in their price range or lower if you're looking for something heavy-duty that’s standard size.
+1 for Latch Lake, my studio had three of them and they’re what I reach for whenever I can.
My only complaint is the telescoping boom arm doesn’t tighten enough.

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about different boom arm options
does anyone know a good boom arm or any good information
it works great.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion about compatibility of microphone threads
I can't screw them together because the thread's diameter don't match.
Most mic clips are 5/8" thread and come with an adapter to 3/8".
You should see a small slit in it that you can fit a coin or a flat head screwdriver in and it'll screw out.
Inquiry about adapters for different thread sizes
Don't think that there is an adapter but I'll take a look when I am back.
Discussion on microphone gain and ambient noise
turning down the gain will not reduce ambient sound and with a 16-bit device like the Q2U could bring up the noise floor.
the mic was picking up on my office mates voice during calls.
Inquiry about alternatives to desk clamp boom arms
They're much easier to position and far more versatile than most scissor arm or desktop mic stands.
I have always recommended K&M like this one: K&M König & Meyer 21090.500.55 Tripod Microphone Stand.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about microphone stand preferences
I'll only be setting it up on a desk for podcasting with, so don't require a boom arm or anything too fancy.
I'd get one with adjustable height and a heavy base plate.
I don't mind paying more for a better quality/more versatile stand (within reason!) - do you have any bass drum mic stand recommendations?
The NT1 even with the thick shock mount isn't that heavy and I have it on a leanable stand.
Discussion about boom arm preferences
These are around $49 for the 38” and work amazing.
Huge upgrade from the cheapo $15 arms.
I really like them.
The 4000 works well with my quick release extensions.
Curiosity about microphone quality during meetings
Wow! Interesting that the mic is still picking up your office mates.
