Snoop's Take

The Kinghardcase 2 Pack TSA Approved Gun Locks are designed to provide reliable security for a variety of items, including gun cases, ammo boxes, and luggage. These durable locks feature a resettable 4-digit combination system and are made of sturdy zinc alloy, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of travel and outdoor use. Consumer sentiment regarding these locks is mixed; while some users appreciate their robust construction, stating they are "durable and reliable," there are significant concerns regarding their suitability for securing firearms. Many users recommend using non-TSA locks for firearms, emphasizing that TSA locks can be easily compromised, with one user noting, "I was worried about TSA cutting my locks too." These insights suggest that while the locks may be effective for general use, they might not provide the level of security desired for firearm transport. Based on the feedback, it appears that the Kinghardcase TSA Approved Gun Locks might not be the best choice for securing firearms, as many users advise against using TSA locks for this purpose. Therefore, potential buyers should consider their specific needs and the context of use before purchasing these locks.

TSA locks are not recommended for gun cases
NO, TSA, LOCKS,
You guys have cases? I just stack my shit in my trunk
My savior soft case hold 2 rifles and a bunch of other crap, and its easy to squish it into a space between a bookshelf and a wall or something and forget it until its needed again.
Pelicans are so cumbersome when I can just stash that shit in a backpack or throw it in my back seat.
Perceived lack of security with TSA locks
These are garbage. You cut them with nearly any multi tool
I was worried about TSA cutting my locks too. I put 2 extra keyed padlocks in my case with one of the keys, and a note saying to lock it with the new locks and throw away the key.
Had a TSA officer refuse a guy with his AR factory case since he could pry a side open and get a few fingers in the case even though it had multiple locks.
Two things. Why do you only use dehumidifier when out of cardboard. Cardboard doesn't stop humidity?
TSA locks not recommended for gun cases
Same. Ours fits 2 rifles and 2 pistols
I don't own one but have heard good things about the gun cases at Harbor Freight if you're on a budget.
USE NON-TSA LOCKS. I can't stress this enough.
Aren’t you supposed to use non-TSA approved locks for firearms?

Discussion on the necessity of gun locks in various living situations.
Most firearm owners in the U.S. keep at least one firearm unlocked — with some viewing gun locks as an unnecessary obstacle to quick access in an emergency
I don't really think you can make a case for a blanket assessment of whether it's acceptable to keep a firearm unlocked or not, given that each living situation is nuanced.
Is it really such a bother to take 5 seconds with a combination trigger lock? I keep a firearm at home and I would never leave it in my house unlocked (As a Canadian I’m required by law to but I would anyways).
No, in most cases, it wouldn't be detrimental.

What TSA approved gun case do y'all recommend? I just purchased the T3x Lite Veil Wideland 7mm Rem Mag and putting a Silencer Central Banish Backcountry suppressor on it with a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44 scope.
I use a Pelican vault v800. It works great for me.
I used to put them inside of magazines. For rifles, in the pistol grip.
