The MOOG K8749 Front Lower Suspension Ball Joint is specifically designed for 1994-2004 Ford Mustang models, ensuring proper fitment and performance. It features a robust metal-to-metal design that enhances strength and longevity, making it a reliable choice for restoring like-new steering experience. Consumer sentiment reflects a mix of satisfaction and concerns regarding the product. Many users appreciate the reliability and quality of MOOG parts, with one stating, "Get Moog, the price is worth it." However, there are also voices cautioning about a perceived decline in quality over the years, with comments like, "Moog is not even close to what they once were for quality" surfacing in discussions. Overall, while the MOOG K8749 ball joint has its advocates praising its performance, potential buyers should weigh these sentiments regarding quality against their needs. Ball joints are designed to move and function as intended
Is it just a Moog ball joints that you can move around by hand with some force(on brand new control arms) or did they company send me some bad ball joints?
They move, yes, with a little force.
That’s kind of the idea of ball joints and tie rod ends and sway bar links.
Ball joints are supposed to move.

They are holding up pretty well.
I’ve had them for a year and no issues.
MOOG ball joints considered somewhat reliable
I just put some moog ball joints in mine, as I’ve heard they’re somewhat reliable, kinda out of necessity.

OEM is safest bet.
Quality issues reported with other brands
