What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Ninja Sizzle is great for indoor use
no concerns about it being underpowered or heating unevenly
Ninja woodfire looks great for a small electric grill
It looks really great for a little electric grill.
Great for indoor use
I've had one for years. Got it for Father's day because I'm notorious for running out of propane. I love mine.
I use the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL which is an electric grill, smoker (it smolders pellets in a little container), and other functions. It runs off my standard house outlet and I think it works great.
How is the Ninja Woodfire? I know, but the corporation that owns my apartment prohibits any non-electric outdoor cookers. They don't even allow gas. I'm reduced to electric heaters only.
I have a Ninja Woodfire grill and I've been very happy with it and have received compliments on the brisket, pulled pork, and other food I've produced off of it.
Versatile with multiple cooking functions
There are YouTubers who praise it for its ability to do so.
yes, its an air frier too so has many uses.
Produces good results for brisket and pulled pork
It's a purchase you wouldn't regret.
Yeah, I was extremely pleased with the results.
High-quality build and performance
Thanks for sharing, I have been very interested in these since they debuted.
Great for indoor grilling in apartments
I live in an apartment and don't have access to a standard grill or an outdoor space.
Cooks food quickly and effectively
It cooks real fast and the smoke flavour is definitely there.
Air fryer function works well
the air fryer function especially.
Works again after wire replaced.
Claims absence of PTFE in materials
Ninja inconsistent with non-stick materials? The Ninja AF101 and AF100 product descriptions claim the non-stick material to be "ceramic", and Ninja even responded to several questions on their Amazon product page for AF101 stating "The inner basket is ceramic-coated, nonstick, and PTFE- and PFOA-free."
Watching with interest. I definitely bought an AG301 for the claimed absence of PTFE.
Cleans easily after use
It cleans great (I use a scrub mommy sponge - do not put in DW!) and has been consistently wonderful.
Versatile for different types of cooking
I've been reading reviews and everyone comes out surprised. Ive been seeing people make cobblers with it as well.
Great value for price
WOW. Perfectly seasoned, grilled steak (reddish) with caramelized onion on top, with drippings on the bottom.
Produces great results for various foods
The automatic thermometer makes a perfect steak effortless.
High-quality performance
since I have purchased mine I haven’t cooked anything any other way since, the probe makes it very easy to work with you insert the probe set the item to whatever consumable you are using put it on the grill and go.
Includes a thermometer for precise cooking
6-1 comes with a thermometer.
Offers versatile cooking functions
6n1 has the broil feature and a temp probe...
Convenient for indoor grilling
From what I could tell, it's something like...

Electric grills don't get hot enough
They just don’t get hot enough to do anything besides warm a hotdog.
Preference for charcoal or propane grills over electric
I wouldn't get one unless it were the only option allowed to me.
Electric grills lack flavor compared to traditional grilling methods.
Fyi I can't have a charcoal grill at the place.
The flavor just isn't there.
Grill flavor comes from smoke / fire which are not present in the electric machine.
Electric grills are just.... sad.
Electric grills are not preferred over propane grills.
Get a propane grill unless you want to buy "The Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine".
Preference for charcoal or propane grills
Now I live alone and I have my Weber Kettle but I missed being able to cook Quickly without prep time.
Produces thick acrid smoke and runs too hot
Mine only produces thick acrid smoke, and runs way too hot.
Requires careful temperature management for pizza cooking
Doing a pizza at 7:50 isn’t something most people would do I burned the super thin crust in three minutes.
Produces acrid/smoldered smoke taste
Would you say the Woodfire provides a clean smoke or acrid/smoldered type of smoke taste?
Electric not useful everywhere
Electric. So not useful everywhere.
Setup for smoking takes a long time
Takes anywhere between 5 and 8 hours depending on the size of the meat you use, but I've gotten extremely consistent and great results literally every time I've used mine over the past 5 years.
Potential safety concerns with high power usage
The site shows it is rated for 1760W. That's about max on your standard 15A circuit.
This is a really risky kind of appliance to power from an extension cord just hanging out on the ground etc waiting to make an accident.
Expensive compared to alternatives
It’s going to be good but it’s also going to be bloody expensive for what they are.
Fan fails after short usage period
My brand new Pro has a noisy fan that sucks.
Releases strong cooking smells
I’m sold, but how smoky does it get?
Grease tray design causes food to slide off
I haven't been able to find any reviews for either model. Have you? If you have one, what do you think of it?
The grill is slightly slanted so the grease runs off. Coincidentally the food slides off because the surface is so slick.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on electric grills in restaurants
There are quite a few restaurants that operate on electric grills due to inadequate venting for gas.
Comparisons to traditional grilling and smoking methods
Does an electric smoker work just as well and taste as good?
In fact, I would say they're *more* consistent than pit and far harder to mess up with no drawbacks.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on electric smokers being apartment friendly
I just don’t want to be that neighbor that smells up the entire place.

Discussion on comparing different grill brands.
I got him the Ninja Woodfire for Christmas but just came across an opportunity to get a new Nexgrill Oakford for $350.
They aren't good. If he is wanting an actual smoker, I'd probably suggest avoiding Nexgrill, as in general (from what I've heard, never owned one), as they seem to be cheaply made and have quality control issues.
I’d recommend a Weber kettle if you’re on a budget. It’s a great starter piece that also grills.
Discussion on electric grills vs traditional grills
mostly I want to be able to cook stuff like salmon steaks and veggies on the patio.
Discussion on comparing grill and smoker functionalities
My wife and I make pizza pretty regularly and the oven is kinda lame.
It’s kind of like a masterbuilt electric with more range and better built but smaller.
Discussion on electric smokers for apartment use
I was just looking at this as an option for an electric smoker (apartment won't allow open flames).
Tips and recommendations for new users
thanks for answering! i forgot to order pellets so i ll buy them off of HD or amazon.
Uncertainty about product differences
Not sure which way to go atm and if they are the same thing and the new one is the latest and greatest, or if they do different things.
Discussion about different Foodi Grill models
They call it 5-in-1, so I don't think it is old.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about electric grill performance based on outlet power
How bad is an electric grill? Was about to buy an electric grill (complex doesnt allow gas/charcoal) but then learned that because outlets run at 110V, that electric grill are not good.
