What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Affordable and reliable for basic use
Love my ninja blender. Affordable reliable and gets the job done
Good luck, my ninja has lasted for 6 years and still works like new.
Have had my Ninja for about 5 years. Use it several times a month and it’s in kinda rough shape but I throw that thing in the dish washer and treat it like a beater so it’s living up to its price and expectations and then some
I have a ninja blender. They’re like half the cost of the vitamix and pretty durable.
Good for smoothies and frozen drinks
I like my Ninja. My Vitamix died and it’s been a good replacement.
My favorite ninja for smoothies honestly. Mostly because it churns the food unlike the traditional ninja that you many times have to shake or restir etc.
Good blending capability for basic use
I can buy a 1400 peak-watt Ninja blender for like $110 CAD. I have my UX gripes about the Ninja but it's blending capability isn't one of them.
My Vitamix turns chia seeds into butter. The ninja after 10 minutes still has grainy bits that aren't really blended in.
Good blending capability
It blends well but the whole ownership experience makes me not want to use it.
It is very easy for me to clean my ninja blender.
Half fill with hot water, add a couple drops dish detergent, put the lid on, stick it on the base and blend. Easy peasy.
Good for making dough
recommend this one!
Great for various uses beyond smoothies
I have the power blender, your top 1. Had it for about 3 years now and still love it!
Good for blending without leaving chunks
It does a great job blending though.
Great for making smoothies
I used to have a 300w generic blender back home and it had issues with leafy greens and some other ingredients.
I have a ninja one. It is great.
Get a ninja. They’re on sale right now for a 100$ usually 200$. Will do smoothies all day long.
Easy to clean
Powerful, easy to clean and very reliable.
Easy to use with Auto-IQ technology
Which Ninja blender to choose? I’m planning to buy Ninja blender but I’m not sure which one to choose.
put your stuff in and hit the blend button. 45 seconds later you have a smoothie.
Powerful performance with 1200W
I got this one, it has a freaking F1 engine.
Good performance for smoothies
My Ninja is a beast and workhorse. I love it!
Ninja CT610 is the best blender I've had so far.
Affordable purchase option
It doesn’t heat up food like the fancier blenders do, but it does everything else well.
It was probably $60.

Blender accumulates gunk from dishwasher

Why are you putting your blender in the dishwasher? If it’s decent you put some soap and hot water in it, turn it on for a bit, then rinse.
I have this same blender. It specifically says it's dishwasher safe. However I only hand wash mine for the same problem as OP.
Anyone know why this Ninja Power Blender does this? This is a 1200-watt 60hz American blender (110v). I am in Thailand.
Ineffective blending performance
I have a ninja and honestly I wish i never bought it. It really doesn't blend all that well and that tower blade system they have is a pain in the ass to clean.
Neither? My ninja 3 in 1 food processor has been a disappointment. It’s not a good blender, it’s not a good food processor, it’s not made particularly well, and it’s showing a lot of wear for an appliance I use a few times a year.
Difficult to clean blade system
there’s no way this gets everything
Build quality can be poor over time
the pitcher is gonna give out
Never going back
Ninja is the biggest POS brand to ever exist in the appliance world.
Smoothies are too grainy
My smoothies are too grainy and I really think a Vitamix might be worth the money.
Motor burns out under heavy use
The motor on the Ninja burned out when I was trying to make a ground nut butter.
Concerns about rubber gasket mold and smell
Did Ninja fix the design fault or is it still the same?
Blades can cut during cleaning
Blades can cut you when cleaning.
Poor durability compared to competitors
this thing for a year of fairly heavy use and it kills the ninja in pretty much every way.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion about dishwasher safety and hand washing
No dulling of knives that couldn't be accounted for by thousands of uses of the blender, no problem with gears.
Discussion about Vitamix vs Ninja products
Buy the ninja blender that has "Vitamix" on it. I went through 3 ninjas and have only had one vitamix in that same amount of time.
I can stretch a bit more, but Ninja cost around 150€, I can’t really pay 4x more for the cheapest Vitamix…
Discussion comparing Ninja to Vitamix
The best blender I've ever owned is a Vitamix. It will make purees that are restaurant quality.
The Vitamix is a BIFL. There is no comparison to the Ninja.
Vitamix 5200 is the best blender on the market.
Discussion on comparing Ninja to Vitamix
Their ability to puree and crush are better.
Would love to have some nutritions smoothies.
Discussion on cleaning methods
Just make sure to leave some room and don’t get crazy with the soaps.
Comparison of Ninja and Cuisinart food processors
Look for a reliable food processor for a family of 2.
If you're already deaf go with the Ninja.
Discussion on proper blending techniques
Noooowwwww add your frozen fruit and protein powder and whatever else and blend again.
Yup, that's how I always used my old blender, still had chunks here and there...
This is a very underrated comment 😭😍😍😍 Thank you this makes so much damn sense! I am that person doing and saying those things! 😂

Discussion on blender types and their capabilities
Immersion blender vs regular blender? Do you think that an immersion blender is capable of doing everything a regular blender can?
I have a Vitamix, and I swear I could throw my car in there and it would grind it up. I also have an immersion blender.
It depends on what you want to blend. An immersion blender is super handy, but it will never crush ice, blend and cook a perfectly smooth soup or get you completely smooth smoothie.
They're two different things. An immersion blender won't chip ice, it won't handle anything hard and for that matter.
General discussions about blender options under $100
Best affordable blender? i just want something super simple and under $100.
Inquiries about good all-around blenders
Not looking to spend a paycheck on one either.

General opinions on brand reliability
Same. I have the Ninja BL770 and it's been great. Don't know why Ninja's get so much hate.
Troubleshooting tips for blender not turning on
I've read through the manual and ensured that it doesn't pass the fill line, the blades have room to move, the container piece is properly locked in and rotated to the point were the click sound was heard, the arrows on the lid aline with the container, and everything seems like it's following the manual perfectly.
First, check that the arrow on the lid is pointing toward the arrow on the handle and the handle is locked in place.
The arrow on the handle needs to match with the lid. Once you get the picture lined up and locked in place. Then you add your lid on top of the whole mixer before you lock it in place with the handle of the lid.
