The frother works so well and has allowed me to make specialty coffees at home and they are better than store bought.

Positive Feedback

It’s 100% capable of bringing out the berry flavors in natural processed light roast coffees, and you’ll realize quickly that your brew quality is now grinder-limited where before you seriously weren’t extracting all the flavors from your grounds.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Great functionality for various brew styles
The frother works so well and has allowed me to make specialty coffees at home and they are better than store bought.
I have the Ninja Dual Brew Pro CFP301 (single serve and carafe brewing) and love it.
I was wondering what this rubber piece found in the reservoir was for.
I think it’s a filter that goes in the single pod adaptor…I put it there and it works.
Produces hot and high-quality coffee
then he dumps them into the filter, presses the button and boom. Coffee
Great iced coffee
Makes great iced coffee! Easy to setup up and use and the frother works great!
Versatile brewing options
Hello, I’m just getting into coffee and mostly wanted to get some opinions from people who have this unit.
Convenience of using both pods and grounds
I like that I have the option of using pods or ground Coffee(I dont use pods often but sometimes my mom comes over and she uses them), and the milk frother is just a luxury addition.
The frother is nice, but won't do anything a handheld frother could do.
Rich flavor from the brew
the rich really gives a great flavor
Versatile use of both pods and grounds
Overall happy with the machine, but playing coffee ground roulette is not the morning pick me up I was hoping for.
My Ninja can use pods or grounds so I just going to stick to grounds.
Ability to brew large quantities
Yeah I like the ninja cause I can do a pot of coffee or a large tumbler (my last regular Keurig I had to fill a measuring cup and pour into the tumbler) but Ive been thinking of other options cause the grounds are awful when they surprise me
Great coffee quality and flavor
I have one and love it makes great coffee!
and it makes a great cup.
We really like it; it does everything they say it does.
Versatile brewing options with pods and grounds
This unit seems to meet all those requirements, and it's $199.
Versatile brewing options including iced coffee
they also use filtered water and keep it clean regularly. They have never had a problem and honestly, for my parents it is perfect.
Produces good coffee with various brew options
It also just makes good coffee, with easy options for a little more concentrated, or a little less.
Honestly I love mine. If I’m in a hurry or have my family over it gets the job done.
Solid drip temperature for brewing
The drip is solid at 205°, which is on par with what SCA makers are going to give you.
Adjustable brew modes enhance flavor extraction
What do the different brew modes of the Ninja Coffee Bar actually do? Let's skip the inevitable bashing that I assume comes with purchasing a ninja.
These different brew methods will do is adjust the amount of time it takes to brew, thus effecting the extraction rate.
So the magic buttons do as the person above me said. It just depends on how long the coffee brews.
Easy to clean
Very easy to clean.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Questionable durability and longevity
It’s 100% capable of bringing out the berry flavors in natural processed light roast coffees, and you’ll realize quickly that your brew quality is now grinder-limited where before you seriously weren’t extracting all the flavors from your grounds.
Issues with muddy coffee on certain settings
Coffee was a bit muddy on the Bold (he misheard me and ran this instead of Gold) setting.
Some complexity in operation and features
Best of luck! Keep me updated? It was the only one of the four machines that had me scratching my head.
Pods bursting and leaving grounds in coffee
It really sucks going through batches to find good ones.
Misconception about brewing espresso
I think any “hate” just comes from the misconception that it makes espresso - because Ninja itself promotes making lattes and cappuccinos and such.
Cold brew quality is disappointing
I'm not a big fan of the warm cold brew they make for that reason.
Skepticism based on previous Ninja product experiences
Ninja products always seem to have some kind of gimmick that sounds good on paper but in reality is much worse than whatever leading competing brand they're going up against.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Debate on SCA-certified brewers
All those on the list are great brewers. Being SCA certified just means they brew from 195-205F° and 'in the appropriate amount of time' for a 55g/1L dose.
Discussion about the Ninja brand and comparison with other machines
I remember a few years ago some friends got a Ninja coffee machine of some kind, and they loved it.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Personal coffee roasting experiences
I roast my own coffee, so the ability to brew that is a must.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Personal experiences with coffee preferences
I can't speak to its single serving option, because I use other things for that, but from what I've read people seem to like it.
The fewer steps in my morning coffee brewing, the better.
My wife calls it bean-water. I know the MM is great at producing an overall balanced cup.
Discussion on pricing and discounts
Costco Ninja coffee maker, looking for feedback if anyone tried it.
They’ve been deeply discounted on woot. I would recommend waiting until it pops back up there.
Discussion on grind size and brewing methods
I think the grind would be the biggest variable.
Nothing really seems to produce a desirable cup.
Discussion on single serve coffee makers and travel mug sizes
Why dont they make single serve coffee makers that produce enough coffee to fill a 16oz-24oz travel mug? The largest I can find is 12oz.
To have a decently strong cup of coffee you need 14-18 mL of water per gram of coffee. My morning ritual is 30 grams of coffee and 500 mL of water.
The Bella coffee maker I have does that. It makes a 20 ounce mug from normal coffee grounds.
Single serve are made for your 6 ounce cup. Especially when you get into K cups, everything is divided for that 6 ounce size.
Discussion on alternative coffee makers
Fewer bells and whistles but better coffee.
Discussion on personal preferences for coffee makers
Great appliance though, I can't see anyone hating them.
they love it and I enjoy the coffee when I go over.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Debate on other brands and models
Been debating which one to get as well! I like the convenience of the Breville and Braun but Technivorm looks like it will last longer than both of them.
Wanting to get it for it's reasonable $100 price with good amt of features.
Mainly got it for the frother to add some twist to it. Guess this is my starter kit to getting into more advanced coffee making.

General debate about Ninja brand products
I actually really love my ninja blender. I use the pitcher attachment and get great blended coffee out of it for work regularly.
