Snoop's Take

The No.1 Hydration Belt by Runtasty is a premium running accessory designed to provide athletes with a convenient way to carry hydration and essentials while on the move. It features two BPA-free water bottles, a tilt-up pocket with touchscreen accessibility, and a no-bounce design for ultimate comfort during runs. Consumer feedback highlights the belt's convenience for carrying essentials, with many users praising its capacity to hold water, snacks, and phones securely. A user noted, "I don't use handhelds but even with just the belt I can easily carry 2x500ml of water along with my cellphone, some gels/snacks, a headlamp, etc." However, some users have expressed concerns about bounce and discomfort, with one stating, "It either bounces up and down and hits me in the balls or it rubs into my hip bones." Despite mixed reviews regarding comfort and fit, the No.1 Hydration Belt by Runtasty is generally recommended for those seeking a reliable hydration solution for running and outdoor activities, especially given its practical design features and storage capabilities.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Convenient for carrying essentials
Love the belt for training. I don't use handhelds but even with just the belt I can easily carry 2x500ml of water along with my cellphone, some gels/snacks, a headlamp, etc.
Hydration packs vs belts vs handheld? I’m moving to a HOT climate and need to be more thoughtful about hydration.
Hydration belt? Can anyone recommend a good hydration belt, that has 2 decent sized water bottles? Ideally, I’d like to carry 2 12-oz bottles for long runs.
🧍🏽‍♂️My stats: 1.76meters and 79kilograms.
Great for carrying essentials
Just started using the flip belt with water bottle and it’s great.
I’ve tried everything on the list and it’s my favorite.

Where it needs some work!

Bounces while running
It either bounces up and down and hits me in the balls or It rubs into my hip bones.
First time I ran with a well fitting proper run vest it was like a dream. So lightweight. No bounce.
No bounce from the bottle on my back, but run 2 it kept popping out.
I'm looking into it because I'm bad at drinking water.
Uncomfortable fit against the body
A well fitting vest is basically the best I've experienced personally.
I got a vest last fall and it is aces. And I can carry whatever I want- jacket, food, keys, phone, 2 liters of water.
I have a Flip belt and a Fitletic. Both fit good and don't cause chafe or bounce.
There is nothing you can do to hydrate yourself more, other than taking in more water.
Irritating bottle placement while running
Vest with a rear bladder for me. You can put bottles in the two front pockets, but they bounce like mad and it's just too annoying.
I love it for my long runs, but I'd never wear it during a competition.
There is nothing you can do to hydrate yourself more, other than taking in more water.
Belt moves upward on wide hips
I have no ass and it keeps sliding down. Now I prefer my nathan QuickStart vest.
They slide down somewhat. As others have said get a vest.
Uncomfortable pressure on the stomach
I think a vest/pack is more comfortable than a belt.
Vests are important to get fit though to prevent too much wriggling and chaffing, but I generally prefer them due to my body structure.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Advice on proper bottle positioning
You usually position the bottle of those kind bottle belts on your lower back... Sounds like you are wearing it backwards if it's hitting you in the junk.
Best running hydration belts I have a Nathan’s Quick shot that I’ve used in the past for 10-15km runs but just tired of holding it.
Advice on proper hydration strategy during runs
Personally, one bottle in the belt and use aid stations, or two handhelds and don't use the aid stations.
IMHO it depends on the distance you are going. Smaller handheld/belt bottles are fine for shorter & can add electrolytes to one and water in another.
I ran 2, 3 mile runs just holding a water bottle and it was fine, I ran 4 miles yesterday with a running vest with a hydration pack in it, and I loved it, but the only thing is I filled it up way too much for the distance I ran.
Advice on hydration strategies
It didn’t take long for me to get used to carrying the bottle and it didn’t hinder much of anything.
Option 4 is my preferred choice.
I carry a 500ml water bottle in my hand AND stop at a gas station to refill.
The liquid IV works wonders for us in the warehouse.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Preference for vests over belts
I hated belts and vests. The Multipass can be worn as a sling or as a waist belt.
I have a lightweight camelback and don’t feel like it slows me down.
Ditch the belt, go with a vest.
I use the Nathan for shorter runs and the vest for anything over 10miles.
