What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Polarized sunglasses enhance visibility in bright conditions
Polarized filters cut glare off of reflective surfaces.
Polarized lenses provide glare reduction
Polarized is good for many applications, but not so great for skiing.
Good value for budget option
They won't impress anyone in line or on the lift, but they work for me.
Works well for various weather conditions
Never used any other pair of goggles but had zero issues outside of that.
Recommended by users for affordability
I have not used them, but others on the sub have recommended Outdoor Master goggles from Amazon.
Great performance in bad weather conditions
They are awesome and great for bad weather.
Comfortable fit of helmets and goggles
If it’s good enough for the US Ski Team the quality is probably more than fine.
Durable and long-lasting performance
they’re still holding up well. The magnetic lenses are something you don’t typically see until shelling out big bucks.
+1 for outdoor masters. They're awesome for the price

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Interior reflection from mirrored lenses
they have a lot of interior reflection at certain angles.
Perceived low quality compared to established brands
There are loads of good goggles with a pedigree in eye protection, and you're choosing a relatively new and unproven brand.
Concerns about guerilla marketing tactics
reeks of guerilla marketing.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on the challenges of finding sunglasses that stay in place during exercise
What sunglasses are you all using which actually STAY PUT 🥲
I’ve been happy with Goodr.
I don’t want to care if I accidentally lose them or scratch them, but I want something that also is better quality than sunnies from the servo =Goodr wins hands down.
Honestly, most cycling glasses are pretty much perfect. Great wrap, light and hold on well.
Discussion on the necessity of polarized lenses for outdoor activities
Will there be a huge difference?
I returned them the next day and got the polarized ones.
Still find being able to see polarized glass patterns fascinating. It’s like a super power.
Discussion about lens VLT options for skiing
What exactly is the difference between clear glasses and polarized glasses?
Thanks for your insight, at least I know that 8-10% is waaaay too low for an average day goggle.
Discussion on the durability and UV protection of sunglasses
kind of want to avoid metal/glass and go for plastic since i will be kind of rough with the glasses stuffing them in my bag
Wearing sunglasses that aren't UV proof is worse for your eyes than not wearing sunglasses at all because your pupils dilate and let more UV in.
Preference for plastic frames over metal/glass for durability
Goodr running glasses. 25-35 dollars, polarized, and doesn't move when running.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on cheaper alternatives to high-end sports sunglasses
Safety glasses are normally certified to recognised international standards and give you good field of view.
those were more robust and cheaply replaceable.
cheaper brands do exactly the same thing better than Oakley does now.
look way better than oakley and will run you about $20 instead of $200.
Discussion on the perceived quality of budget sunglasses
are shady rays quality? I would like to get some nicer than gas station sunglasses because that's all I've ever used, are shady rays nice enough to invest in?
I was surprised to see all the negative comments on posts about Shady Rays. I have used them a few times and have been very happy with what I get.
It's just an amazon private label type brand with a large advertising budget.
Discussion on the affordability and quality of cycling sunglasses
Sadly, I can't find them.
Goodr are good at swapping/fixing them though
Discussion on comparing budget options to high-end brands
Are OutdoorMaster Ski Goggles PRO with the Interchangeable Lenses Good?
Discussion on finding budget-friendly options for ski goggles
They don't have to be the best thing in the world, they just need to do the job.
Comparison of OutdoorMaster products with other brands
Their goggles are what mostly gets a lot of hate.
Discussion on upgrading to more expensive gear
I have outdoor master stuff right now it works but now I'm better at snowboarding I'm looking to get better gear just didn't know if it is worth the money.
Outdoor master is going to likely be good enough until going to much more expensive gear.
Debate over the best ski goggles
Outdoormaster goggles hold the most value.
Mention of alternatives to cheaper sunglasses
If you're looking for something other than the cheap gas station glasses, I like my Natives. They've held up well for years, the lenses are interchangeable and replaceable, and they'll replace damaged (but not lost) sunglasses for something like $30.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on brand comparisons without product-specific feedback
Comparisons wanted: Goodr, Blenders, Knockaround, Sunski, Tifosi, Shady Rays, Fuse, Huckberry, etc, etc, etc **tl;dr** - I'm after comparative commentary from people who have owned many of these very similar brands.
I haven’t owned any except fuse. To be honest with you any mid tier (using your term, not sure I agree with that) sunglasses are going to be roughly the same in terms of lenses and optics.
I've had Tiffusi, from REI.  Still have a pair and one of the lenses.  User changeable lenses is a bad thing, they're not very secure.
Unfortunately, I think they're all pretty heavily marketed, and do some pretty devious things with their various 'premium' products, reviews, and so on.
Chatter about the durability of lens coatings in sunglasses
Hear me out, they make a product that has a better lens coating and is a little more expensive? Less waste, less warranties, happier customers.
I agree, that would be better. I'm just pointing out that they are good at sorting the problem when it occurs.
Various opinions on the pros and cons of polarized sunglasses
So basically it reduces glare.
Discussion on brand preferences and experiences
Based on this track record I'm inclined to just get another pair of Tifosi with fototec lenses, but curious if there are any other brands I should look at.
They get dark enough for really sunny days and they cover my face well.
Discussion on OutdoorMaster's reputation
it just conforms to my head/ears in a way the others don’t, and the fleece earcups/lining is nice because I don’t like wearing anything under my helmet.
