Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Lightweight and comfortable design

Roka are the lightest sunglasses I’ve ever owned. I have the round style Oslo’s with prescription lens.
Personally enjoying Goodr. For $50 CAD, if I drop them or scratch them I can easily replace without stressing over a $200-300 pair.
What is a a good pair of polarized glasses. ($30-$50) I have my first real tournament coming up soon.
Good UV protection
The shades everyone is suggesting are great but upwards of $150 and through the roof.
Shadyrays are good for the price point, but they have longevity issues from my experience.
My eyes don’t get tired anymore. For reference I am coming from Polarized Ray Bans.
Durable and scratch-resistant lenses
Knockarounds have been great for me, from their color and designs, to how well they last.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Exploration of different lens options and their versatility.
Would you recommend brown green mirror for varying light? I’m ok spending a little more if what I get is more versatile.
Discussion about the effectiveness of sunglasses in providing sun protection
a lot of them dont provide actual sun protection, which might sound like its no big deal, but the article said if they dont, its worse for your eyes than wearing no shades at all
Discussion about polarized sunglasses in sports
they can affect depth perception and impact judgment.
I find I can manage in polarized lenses, but prefer not polarized.
yes, they do affect my depth perception.
I wear polarized sunglasses skiing and peak bagging.
Discussion about sunglasses durability and lifespan
They sent me back a brand new pair because the frames were faded, bodes well for BIFL
Maui Jim sunglasses are amazing - I’ve had mine for 15+ years.
Decent polarized sunglasses are remarkably inexpensive and often better quality than the Luxxor brands.
policarbonate sunglasses looks cheap from 100m distance, aren't durable and cheap lenses can damage your eyes.
General comments on fishing sunglasses quality
Fishing sunglasses are by far the best sunglasses, should last basically forever as long as you don't sit on them or lose them.
Discussion about the value of high-quality lenses
It's mostly the lenses that are worth it.
Discussion about UV protection of different lens materials
What are some good glasses or brands that will genuinely protect my eyeballs.
The performance of UV protection will be the same. Because the nature of Polycarbonate material is such that it filters UV rays naturally without any additional coatings needing to be applied to the lens.

Discussion about the importance of lens color for different fishing conditions.
The lens colors sort of do make a difference.
Inquiries about other brands and their polarized sunglasses.
Adding to OPs question, Does anyone have the new Oakley Prizm Polarized sunglasses???? Are they any better than regular polarized glasses??
I’m new to fly fishing and I’m about to buy my first pair of polarised sunglasses specifically for fishing.
Brand comparisons and personal experiences with various sunglasses.
Kinda confused now on what to do.
Yup. Smith Chromapop, the yellow lenses, everyday wear.
I love the brown ChromaPop glass.
Discussion about quality and price of safety glasses versus sports sunglasses
Safety glasses are normally certified to recognised international standards and give you good field of view.
It’s pretty funny how cheaper brands do exactly the same thing better than Oakley does now.
There’s a lot of solid options in the $15-50 range.
Chatter about the cost of sunglasses and seeking affordable options
These glasses have weight to them! They feel super luxurious & high quality.
I have hope again! 😎
I think I'm going to have to go the prescription route when it comes time for new glasses.
Discussion about European alternatives to Oakley sunglasses
My recent one broke last summer and I‘m looking to buy european now.
Rudy projects maybe? Or otherwise the German Adidas? Good question!.
Maybe SunGod (UK).
This is the right answer.
Chatter about comparisons with other brands
I do have a soft spot for Maui Jim, Ray Bans, & Oakley.
The chinese replica sunglasses can be very very close to the originals for 10% of the cost...
Inquiries about lens replacement costs
How much is having the lenses changed? Mine are super scratched…
Chatter on brand comparisons and their quality
Their sports performance products are still great but to me their casual lifestyle glasses are less desirable.
Inquiries about other brands and their polarized sunglasses
I use prescription progressive lens Oakley Crankshaft sunglasses.
Starting to sound like the only good option is a pair of prescribed glasses.
Comparison of sunglasses brands and their quality
Get a pair of Costas with glass lenses or poly. I’m sure you see a bunch of that brand and their quality is really high.
Discussion on comparing sunglasses quality
they check all the boxes for what they are, quality, good looking and high value price point.
My $10 Neff sunglasses are still working great a year later, and when they get broken I'll get another pair.
Concerns about the price versus quality of sunglasses
most of what goes into the cost of sunglasses is marketing.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Chatter on lens distortion and quality
They distort your vision compared to the higher end models.
Good safety glasses may not even be much cheaper than crappy Oakley but they will be designed to take the impact if you fall.
Sentimental value attached to sunglasses
I'd be devastated because of the sentimental value, but I'd replace them in a heartbeat because they're the best glasses I've ever owned.
General comments on the durability and scratch resistance of various brands
Any of the high end companies (Oakley , Roka, Smith, Nike...etc) have glasses that fit your lightweight needs. But they ain't goodr cheap.
