Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Electric cookware may not heat sufficiently
Don't buy any piece of cookware that incorporates electricity.
Difficult to clean and store
It's a $25 tool that has exceeded it's functionality, any efforts to repair it will involve more aggravation and money than would be required to replace it and won't be nearly as effective.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Good for cooking multiple items at once
I have one too, best device for making French toast and pancakes.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Used for unconventional cooking scenarios
We had a small shihtzu and he was just hanging out in my lap. For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to jump over to that chair and he smashed right into the box fan and hit the floor.
Electric Griddles: I am looking for an electric griddle
I have had a Ninja Sizzle for a few months now and it’s been awesome
Discussion about using electric skillets for specific cooking techniques
I *really* want to make smash burgers. From all the instructions I’ve seen, the surface needs to be ripping hot.
At worst you’d be able to get a good crust on one side of the patty.
It should be alright
Discussion about using old recipes with the electric skillet
Fry salt pork until fat is extracted. Place rabbit in pan and fry, turning frequently, until golden brown and tender.
They probably expect enough flour to fall off the rabbit while you’re frying it to basically make a bechamel.
I believe milk is used to lessen the gamey taste.
If you have the frying pan it probably works as well as the day it was made.

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion about alternatives to electric skillets
Should I buy an electric wok or electric skillet? What are the pros and cons of each?
Discussion on alternatives to electric skillets
It's probably just old.
Discussion about cleaning techniques for electric skillets
it seems to have caused problems.
it returns to non-stick within a few weeks of regular use.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about durability of kitchen appliances
I think all of these last because most people just use once a week or less.
It’s actually r/BuyItForLife and it’s a good, albeit less macabre-sounding, sub!
Discussion about quality of new vs vintage models
Every one I purchase has never lasted a year, without uneven heating or not heating correctly.
Great for pancakes, waffles, grilling meat...
Concerns about placing the skillet on surfaces without legs
Hello, I've never cooked before, bought a 22 inch Presto Electric Griddle, have a few questions
The legs are there to keep the hot part from getting too close to the surface it is sitting on. I personally would not be using it on a glass table, especially if the contents of the skillet were very wet and/or oily as a catastrophic failure of the table could cause serious harm to anyone nearby.
Discussion about safety of cookware materials
Question : I'm looking to replace all of my cookware. I've heard nickel-free stainless steel, cast iron, glass or Ceramic is the safest.
