Snoop's Take

The PROAIM 9ft Camera Crane Jib Arm is designed for videographers seeking professional-grade camera movement and stability. This lightweight and versatile jib crane supports DSLR video cameras weighing up to 8kg (17.6lb) and features a two-arm design for enhanced stability during filming. Consumer feedback highlights impressive stabilization capabilities, with one user noting, "There must be some stabilization going on, because the camera moves a lot more than the shot lets on. Still, impressive." Additionally, many users find the price reasonable compared to similar cranes, stating that "the cost seems pretty reasonable compared to other cranes of similar length and payload capacity." However, some concerns were raised about the low payload capacity and clarity on camera control features. Overall, the PROAIM 9ft Camera Crane Jib Arm is recommended for videographers who need a reliable and cost-effective solution for dynamic filming. Its positive feedback on stabilization and competitive pricing makes it a solid choice in the camera crane category.

It's already looking very promising.

Low payload capacity may require remote head for operation
44lb payload is quite low. You'll need a remote head to pan and tilt.
The movements are way different than the crane or a similar gimbal but they’re more fluid and floaty in the way that a stedicam is.
Lack of clarity on camera control and movement capabilities
My biggest question, which does not appear to be clearly answered in the link is about camera control and movement.
I would reach for the Gimbal first, but if I had a rugged shoot in the outdoors Glidecam for sure.

Hey folks, am I stupid or is practically impossible to find a proper riser for 75mm bowls?
Get the Mitchell riser and then a Mitchell to 75mm plate
Thanks for the suggestion! I dig that to be honest.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about shake with smaller jibs
A balanced heavy duty crane can do the job you want it to, although I’m certain there’s cheaper DIY ways.
Rigged up on two tall stands, it should be rock solid.
You don't need a film-specific jib to get the camera up there.
