Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Great for making rotisserie chicken
Made a great chicken last night.
Infomercial: Ronco Rotisserie "Set it and forget it!"
This man had me wanting to rotisserie chicken and I was a preteen with no interest in cooking.
Includes a flavor injector
The free included "flavor injector" was some next level shit.
Consistently cooks food perfectly every time
SET IT AND FORGET IT!
This was at work.
Easy to use with 'set it and forget it' functionality
Ronco Rotisserie. They have a classic infomercial with the catch phrase "Set it and FORGET IT!"
I just set it. And forget it.
Large cooking capacity for family meals
considering it because I typically am cooking for 1 or 2, don’t have great insulation and would like to keep my place cooler than my oven allows on warm days, and like the idea of an air fryer and toaster “baked in”.
Easy to use with simple controls
This is my machine I have used for the past 5 years. It’s a drum roaster wth a 5 pound capacity.
Good for roasting coffee beans
My resulting roasts are fine but could be better.
Recreates flavor and juiciness of rotisserie chicken
Rotisserie style chicken at home? I absolutely love the over the counter style whole roast chickens you get from supermarkets but can never recreate the same flavour and juiciness at home.
The rotating spit gently heats the entire bird while constantly basting it in its rendered fat so even the breast meat is super tender and juicy.. really hard to achieve at home with a rotisserie.
Convenience of cooking at home
Mainly for the cost. I can get a large whole chicken from the supermarket for £3-£4, a small cooked one is £5.50.
Satisfactory cooking results
Rotisserie/Heat Gun Roaster
I'm very happy with how this turned out.
Turns out better than store-bought roast chickens
They turn out much better than the store-bought roast chickens.
Works pretty good for rotisserie cooking
I have an old ronco and it works pretty good.

May not meet expectations after using higher-end roasters
I just don’t have time to keep up with roasting small batches and would love to roast 4-5 pounds at a time.
I think you will be disappointed with the Ronco after using a Behmore
Inconsistent cooking results
consistency is slightly off, my guess is due to RPMs of the drum.
Better alternatives available, like roasting pans
Don't waste your money, just get a nice roasting pan.

What are poeple's experiences with an at home, countertop rotisserie machine? I'm wondering if they cook well and just basically: Are they worth it?
Maybe I'm too anal but I always end up washing my hands thoroughly between chicken and anything else and thus it takes me forever to prepare essentially the same dish.
Thanks, nice tip on the oil...

Discussion on cooking techniques for juicy rotisserie chicken
How do grocery stores make such juicy rotisserie chickens? Title says it all.
The chickens are so juicy because they are slow cooked in a rotisserie, NOT baked.
Our rotisserie chickens came 6 or so in a blue plastic sack absolutely swimming in who-knows-what kind of juice and already seasoned.
It's called plumping, injecting with a saline solution. And it does make for juicier chicken.
