Speedball has professional-grade ink options
Speedball has a professional grade ink, which is better, but ultimately I switched to caligo safe wash and it was life changing.
It holds detail better, is more velvety and doesn’t dry as fast.
Paper choice influences print quality
paper matters as much as ink.
Thinner paper improves print results

Screenprinting ink does not perform well for block printing.
Well I tried it, and it was so pale.
It works, but the quality isn’t great.
Using screenprinting ink leads to pale and unsatisfactory results.
It's the ink not being used the way it was meant to be (screen). You *can* get it to work, but it tends to be with overinking and looked bad.
Yeah the easily is really for like....very small things might work alright, but it still isn't ideal as it is acrylic drying out with how you need to thinly roll on the ink.
Speedball ink produces uneven prints
all of my prints look uneven when I press them.
I really dread using speedball on it.
Oil-based ink yields better results than Speedball
I have better results with Gamlin oil base ink.

Non-fabric labeled ink will wash out, affecting print durability.
It must be labeled that it is for fabric. If not, it will wash out.
Silver Speedball ink has poor coverage on paper
Couldn't get the ink to cover well on black or white paper.
I'm only getting a thin coating of ink on paper, almost invisible.
I gave up on using speedball gold because I couldn't get consistent prints.
Inconsistent results with Speedball metallic inks
The best thing to use is mica powder. It will reflect like metal.
Speedball inks can dry too quickly for consistent prints.
FWIW speedball inks are not great.
Over-inking leads to fuzzy prints.
I am enjoying blockprinting but I don't know of any other artists or studios that could help me troubleshoot like this.
Speedball water-based inks dry too quickly.
Cheap water based block printing inks are the worst. Avoid the speedball ones too.
I switched to Akua (soy based) and I'm a thousand times happier.
