Snoop's Take

The Thrustmaster T128P Force Feedback Racing Wheel is designed for racing enthusiasts seeking a more immersive gaming experience on consoles and PC. With advanced features like precise mini-sticks, adjustable backlighting, and exceptional force feedback, this wheel enhances driving simulations across platforms like PS5 and PC. Consumer feedback highlights the T128P's strengths, particularly its force feedback capabilities, with one user noting, "for racing this wheel is perfect... it definitely has way better force feedback than the Logitech ones." Many users appreciate it as a solid entry-level choice, calling it a "perfect starter wheel" for beginners. However, some have expressed a desire for improved build quality and pedal performance, indicating that while it excels in certain areas, there are aspects that could be enhanced. Overall, the Thrustmaster T128P is recommended for beginners and casual racers looking for a quality force feedback experience without breaking the bank. Its positive reception for grip racing and user-friendly features make it a competitive option in its category.

For Racing this wheel is perfect, it only lacks speed when drifting as the wheel doesn't rotate as fast as the t300, but it definitely has way better force feedback than the Logitech ones

Positive Feedback

This looks dope but honestly I just want them to release a $200-$250 wheel with decent build quality and not having to pay the Ferrari tax.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Good for grip racing
For Racing this wheel is perfect, it only lacks speed when drifting as the wheel doesn't rotate as fast as the t300, but it definitely has way better force feedback than the Logitech ones
Perfect starter wheel
It's a fine entry level wheel.
Better force feedback than Logitech wheels
So any opinions of any of them will be helpful
Good for beginners
The T150 Pro Peddles are good non load cell pedals, AKA T3PA's.
T-LCM pedals provide better braking performance
I found that during braking with the T-LCM the base of the rig wanted to move a bit.
Pedals can improve speed potential
Pedals is probably the most important factor into getting the best speeds, or at least has the better and bigger potential for speed imo.
Good racing experience with proper setup
MY BEST START EVER. No assist besides the racing line.
race starts are actually really fun once you got the hang of it
Better precision than G27
Much more precise.
the t500rs feels more premium in every way, both the steering wheel and the pedals

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Desire for better build quality without high costs
This looks dope but honestly I just want them to release a $200-$250 wheel with decent build quality and not having to pay the Ferrari tax.
Unappealing visual design compared to conventional wheels
That seriously looks like someone stretched a 4:3 image of a round wheel to 16:9.
Not suitable for drifting
the FFB just isn't enough
the TMX has alot of internal resistance when turning the wheel quickly
Pedals are subpar
It ok for short money, the pedals suck, if you can afford TLCM's get them too.
Shifter paddles are loud
shifter paddles are pretty loud and although you may not hear it because its hybrid drive it might be little louder compared to just belt driven.
Not a significant upgrade from T150 to T248
I wouldn't upgrade from thx/t150 to t248 because the difference is not that big, but the force feedback is much better, smoother and there's more strength.
Limited force feedback strength in T248
The T248 only has 3.5nm and you cannot swap out the wheel.
Turtle Beach products often have poor quality
something that i dont get is why does turtle beach ruin everything they touch? when im looking at any category that they make its always the worst.
T80 lacks force feedback and limited turning degrees
I'm not a fan of the T80 because of the lack of force feedback and limited degrees of turning, but for BeamNG it could be fine.
Feedback fade in T300RS
feedback fade is bothering me a bunch and a bit more torque would be great.
The TS-PC goes for $700. For the same price you can get a Fanatec CSL DD (5Nm) the GT Wheel, and a 2-pedal set of CSLs.
I wouldn’t upgrade to another TM wheelbase to be honest. The cost isn’t worth the small jump in performance.
Force feedback issues during usage
Does your force feed back ever just suddenly stop working? Mine does it at least once a race and it’s really annoying.
Weird. I have the Thrustmaster T150 (basically the same wheel, but for playstation) and never experienced that issue.
Mine gets numb after like 20 laps. I figured out it was probably my wheel overheating or it was just that my tires were worn out.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about torque ratings and performance
Turtle Beach Response About Race Wheel Torque and Display Compatibility I asked on the product listi
Haha, so 3 Nm max
This is my guess. The motor looks tiny.
VelocityOne Race's K:Drive motor delivers 7.2Nm of torque.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Interest in rotary encoders and modular designs
Rotary encoders are interesting though, my main problem with the P310 and R383 rims is that the d-pad joystick thing is impossible to use with gloves/in VR as it's constantly putting in the wrong input.
Potential for modding to improve performance
I've heard of the metal bearing mod, would that fix this specific issue?
It made it a little smoother, however its only incrementally better.
Discussion about using different controllers and setups
With the recent release of the Thrustmaster Racing wheel module, it made me curious, how many people here use some form of a Rig and how many people use a DualSense/DualShock?
Dual Sense controller gang!
Discussion on upgrading to solid rig
Seriously concentrate on getting the solid rig now (presuming it’s a cost issue rather than a living with a rig issue) because by mounting your current wheel base to something rock solid you can actually turn the FFB down and have nore feedback compared with on a desk or whatever.
Discussion about converters for using different wheels
I will be getting a Series X soon after years of playing on PS4.
There is the "drivehub" that should work, or a Gimx adapter works as well.
Collective Minds DriveHub
Collective Minds DriveHub would be what you’re looking for.

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion about various beginner wheels
The T128 and T248 you can get as either PS or Xbox versions.
You should check out the Cammus C5 or C12. It a DD drive wheels.
Discussion on upgrading to direct drive wheels
I plan on upgrading for DD, if you’re somewhere in Europe i have a whole setup(t300/loadcelss/shifter)
Discussion about alternatives to T128, including T150 and G29
Best steering wheel for a reasonable price? Edit 2: What is the best wheel for around 200-250 dollars?
do not buy the T80 tbh
If you can find a deal on the T-248 it's a great option.
Discussion about T300 vs. G923
I'm just looking for some advice, tips, other mods, or just...anything that will help me decide.
The T300 decimates the Logitech offering.
Drop your sources then because that’s definitely not the case.
Whatever you've been seeing or reading, is absolute lies.
Consideration of alternative brands for upgrading
I think that’s as far as you can get in thrustmaster.
Discussion about affordable racing wheels
I'm enjoying this enough that I'm considering a racing wheel.
Doesn't have a clutch pedal, but force feedback is pretty good, 900° of rotation, and a sequential shifter.
I'd hate for $50 to be the difference between turning you off sim racing entirely and igniting a lifelong passion.
If you have to have force feedback the T150 is $200 new.
Debate over value compared to Logitech wheels
Is the thrustmaster worth double the price? Will they both work on the PS4 as well?
Its the real deal, dont know how I coped without it all these years.
Ugh, the predicament of getting a wheel... Been pondering this question since GT6 came out. I curren
Compatibility with PS4
no regrets! I do believe all ps3 periphials will work with ps4

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Issues with wheel recognition on PC
Can't find any info on this, would appreciate some advice. Thanks.
Suddenly it worked and the PC recognised it as "Thrustmaster T150 Racing Wheel"
Had the same problem, and switching to PS4 and back to PS3, then unplugging and replugging the USB fixed it. Thanks!
Discussion about the durability of Thrustmaster wheels over time
What's your status on Thrustmaster racing wheels so far? Dear Thrustmaster racing wheel owners Oh h
TH8A for 5+ years, working like a tank
TMX and T3PA for almost 4 years now. No problems until my clamp broke a few weeks ago while it was on my desk.
No problems with my t300 after I think almost 4 years.
