Snoop's Take

TRESemmé Moisture Rich Hydrating Conditioner is a professional-grade hair care product formulated to deeply hydrate, detangle, and add shine to dry hair. Packaged in a 3-count value set, this conditioner leverages Pro Style Technology to deliver moisture without parabens or harmful chemicals. Consumer sentiment is a delightful roller coaster: users rave about the softness and bounce it brings to their locks, with one even noting, “It makes my hair soft, weightless and bouncy...” while others love its frizz taming prowess, especially in humid conditions. Although a few voices criticize its potential to cause shedding or even hair fall, the overall chorus applauds its ability to deliver nourished and manageable hair. There’s plenty of banter online—from praises about its pleasant scent to humorous comparisons with shaving cream—all underscoring a product that largely meets its promise. In conclusion, despite a few detractors, the conditioner earns a nod from the community for its hydration and frizz control benefits. For anyone battling dry hair or in need of daily moisture, this product is a solid pick in its category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Makes hair soft and bouncy
It makes my hair soft, weightless and bouncy where others strip my hair and make it look like straw or plaster it to my head in a lifeless mess.
Sometimes you just find a shampoo/conditioner that works in every way you hope it does and it's exciting.
Pleasant smell
The smell of Tresemee products is so good, it has its own vibe.
Good for managing frizz
It’s the only brand that manages my frizz, especially in Deep South humidity.
Effective for fine low porosity hair
This is my go to! I’ve tried so many other shampoos and they’re okay, most are way too heavy but not as good as Tresemme.
Affordable for quality
the brand I always fall back to is Tresemmé, some of the cheapest shampoo I can find in my area.. but it’s also the best for my hair.
Good for curly hair
Tresemme coconut essence is a good one.
Makes hair feel moisturized and healthy
my hair feels the most moisturized and healthy it’s felt for years.
Just be glad you found something that works lol
none made my hair feel as good as the tresemme.
Effective for reducing frizz
Made my hair less frizzy and manageable. None of the other shampoos worked for me.
Makes hair feel nicer
this has really made my hair feel nicer. A lot nicer.
Conditioner is effective as a shaving cream
No shaving cream? Use conditioner.
I’d argue conditioner is better than shaving cream.
Now my shampoo and conditioner run out at the same time (which is pleasant to my brain) and I get a super smooth shave too!
Your comment has me sold on only using conditioner from now on!
Recommended for curly hair
I’d recommend Johnson’s baby shampoo, the orange stuff as a normal shampoo and herbal essences every now and then.
My daughter uses the Hairfood and Tresemme botanique conditioner for her curly hair.
Good for fine hair without buildup
This has been my go to for years.
Effective for moisturizing and softness
This one is amazing and doesn't weigh my hair down at all but still leaves it feeling nourished.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Makes hair feel terrible and causes shedding
If a product is making your hair feel terrible and you used it according to the directions, then just stop using it.
I ALSO noticed I was shedding hair more!
Definitely going to stop using and switch shampoos.
Not preferred by some users
I personally don't like Tresemme but I use drug store brands (dove, herbal essences). I don't find Tressemme horrible, I just prefer the ways others smell and feel in my hair.
Can cause hair to fall out
it makes my hair fall out so i think its different for everyone.
Perceived as harsh on hair by some users
some folks reckon it's too harsh on their hair.
Concerns about harmful chemicals
I think it's one of the better brands out there, at least among the mainstream haircare products.
Causes irritation for kids
We were using a tresemme one but with a wiggly toddler we were getting ++ upset from it getting in her eyes.
Conditioner may run out faster than shampoo
The conditioner always runs out first for me.
Concerns about hair loss associated with the product
I keep getting the feedback that this brand, no matter the edition, would have hair loss as a great side effect.
Don't be fooled. Obviously, if a brand was causing extensive hair loss it wouldn't have lasted in a highly competitive market like hair care for more than 50 years.
Unless we're talking massive handsful of hair coming out at one time, most hair loss seen in the shower or whatever has nothing to do with the products used and everything to do with human biology.
Makes hair frizzy for some users
I find Tresemme just fluffs my hair out (great for using just before straightening curly hair).
Does not provide expected hold for styling products
For something labeled "extra hold" I expected the hold to be at least pretty good.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Some hair types prefer moisturizing products
Maybe your hair is naturally drier and prefers moisturizing shampoos?
Preference for leave-in conditioners
I've had the most success with using a leave in conditioner in place of regular conditioner.
Discussion on volumizing products and their effects on hair
I'd recommend against using volumizing shampoos or conditioners as they damage your hair.
I assume Kevin Murphy Angel falls under the same category of damaging your hair by being a volumizing product, but it's been amazing for my long, fine, slightly wavy hair!
Unfortunately, I think it honestly comes down to trial and error.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discontinuation of popular products
My hair is a mix of wavy and curls, but Tresemmé’s curly hair conditioner is too heavy for my hair and the Effortless Waves is perfect.
I swear I remember them having a “Perfectly Undone” shampoo and conditioner that I used all the time.
Drugstore haircare companies just giving up on wavies?
Suggestions for baby-safe products
Moisturizing baby shampoo? Is baby conditioner a thing?
I've heard good things about 'my little cocos' for young textured hair.
Original sprout has a baby conditioner!
Discussion on shampoo alternatives due to concerns
I'm using Tresemme shampoo and conditioner for 9+ years now.
Comparison of various hair products
Try go without Olaplex and see if it makes any difference.
Curly hair care products for kids
Looking for a shampoo/conditioner that will maintain her curl pattern, reduce frizz, and is safe for kids.
Loooove Aussie, it's what I use. Cheap, effective, smells amazing.
Discussion on product recommendations
A+ being “highly recommended” and F being “abandon all hope.”

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Importance of gentle hair care for toddlers
But now he’s wakes up looking like Bob Ross.
Are you brushing or combing the hair when it's dry? If so, that usually destroys the curl pattern.
Agreed! Brushing dry, curly hair causes breakage and lots of frizz.
When you wash his hair gently wrap it with a large enough tee shirt or a special curly towel and blot the excess water out.
Discussion on hair care routines and products
I just want my hair to be slippery as an eel so I can finally just brush it and wear it down without tangling.
If I were you, I would start implementing sulfates & silicones into your routine.
Chronic tangles can be caused by split ends that aren’t being cut off and getting worse over time.
nothing detangles my fine hair like silicones do.
Varied experiences with Tresemme products
Hair care: I use twisted shampoo once every 4-6 days when I have buildup, mop top daily conditioner
It's the ONLY heat protectant spray that I've used that doesn't leave the hair looking oily or sticky.
Discussion on maintaining hair systems
**Morale of the story, all this extra junk out there claiming to repair hair or do stuff for your hair is just modified versions of the same basic things.**
This is an absolute gamechanger.
