Snoop's Take

The SANITMAX 17" Heavy-duty Multi-Functional Floor Buffer Scrubber Machine is designed for commercial and industrial cleaning applications. Equipped with a powerful 2.0 HP motor and a large 3.4-gallon water tank, it efficiently handles various surfaces, making it ideal for spaces like malls, hotels, and factories. Consumer feedback highlights its effectiveness for maintaining floor coatings, with users noting that "you will notice that the floor is brightening up a bit" during use. However, there are concerns regarding potential water leaks when turning and the risk of damaging floors if incorrect pads are used, as one user mentioned, "the power that machine has plus the weight can easily have it catch and take off." Despite these negatives, the machine is generally well-regarded for its commercial capabilities. Overall, the SANITMAX floor buffer scrubber is recommended for its intended industrial use, given its strong performance and positive feedback on efficiency, though users should be cautious about the cleaning methods and pads used to avoid damage.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective for commercial use
Would this be ideal for wood floors? Hello! I’m thinking of renting a floor scrubber for my birthday!
I would not use this on my home’s wood floors, but maybe for something like a dance hall or bowling alley.
Effective for maintaining floor coatings
You will notice that the floor is brightening up a bit because you are removing the top 2-3 coats of wax off.
Stripping the floor is done to take it all off, because wax gets old and yellows and you don't want a ton of coats to accumulate over the years which will make your job harder than it needs to be.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Leaving water when turning
Might be clogged in the vacuum hose
The scrubber might not be getting full suction due to an air leak.
Squeegee could be shot, large debris screen clogged, motor failing.
Adjust water control to medium and also make sure squeegee is rinsed clean for efficient pickup.
Potential for damaging floors with incorrect pads
He says to use the blue or green ones. I already use the green ones for floors without any finish on them.
Red, your typical everyday pad. Called a red buffer pad. A week after your beautiful new floor is dirty with scuffs, the red pad and some neutral cleaner is the ticket.
Too heavy for residential use
The power that machine has plus the weight can easily have it catch and take off, they are fully capable of going THROUGH A WALL.
I can’t imagine using a burnisher in the home lol! It’s def a piece of equipment that can damage quickly.
Risk of damaging floors with incorrect cleaning methods
Taking away the “top” coat only. Not the rest like stripper is able to do.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about floor pad usage and training quality
Considering 3M’s own website lists red pads for daily cleaning and blue for heavy cleaning and green as even more abrasive… don’t listen to that trainer and report it to your supervisor as bad training.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on cleaning techniques
Some backstory: I moved into this rental (built in 1929) and it wasn’t cleaned before I moved it.
Discussion on refinishing hardwood floors
Help with wood floors. Buff and polish or just clean?
I'm not entirely sure because I don't refinish hardwood, but I believe you need to sand it down and refinish it.
So do you mean "screening" or do you mean a complete refinish?
Home Depot rents commercial buffers but you have to buy pads. Not hard to use but finesse helps.
Discussion on cleaning and sealing wooden floors
I’ve pass the floor scrubber 4x and the water still comes out dirty
I have wooden floors and every week I keep mopping and same the water is nasttyyy
The silver lining is that I’m going to redo the floor and it’s something I’ve been putting off
They look to be in decent shape for refinishing.

Neutralizer is a $.05 insurance policy so that the new finish bonds properly with the clean floor.

Cautionary Callouts

Discussion on preferred floor cleaning products
What cleaning products do you guys mop the floors with? I've been using dish washing liquid is there something better I could be using?
Zep neutral floor cleaner. its not sexy, I have to go to a hardware store to buy it, and it comes in a huge ugly jug. But its the only thing that hasn't left a streaky, foggy residue on my LVP, tile, and it works on natural stone too.
I’ll check it out thanks!
Anyone regret their epoxy floor? Moving into a new (to me) house and I want to make the garage nice, especially before I move everything in.
Concerns about effective cleaning
Is it possible for the seal to come off during scrubbing? I’m having the same issue as OP but I’m sure my floors were sealed.
Theres grooves, 90% sure its dirt. Maybe do a scrub clean with a broom type scrubber and floor cleaner.
This is my fear. I used to clean our wood floors with Bona a couple times a year (not often enough, I know) but they'd always end up dull and super rough/gritty kinda.
