Snoop's Take

The COFIT Breathable Workout Gloves are designed for both men and women, providing superior grip and palm protection for various fitness activities. These gloves feature a curved open design for ventilation, skin-friendly materials, and full palm protection to help prevent calluses and blisters during workouts. Users appreciate how these gloves enhance grip strength and provide effective palm protection, with one user noting, "Overall, I think they are awesome gloves." However, some users report issues with comfort and grip during heavier lifts, leading to mixed sentiments about their usability for more demanding exercises. Based on the feedback, the COFIT Breathable Workout Gloves are well-received for their affordability and protective features, making them a suitable choice for casual users and those engaged in various indoor and outdoor fitness activities. While they may not be ideal for high-intensity or motorcycle use, they are recommended for those looking for a budget-friendly option that delivers decent performance in grip strength and palm protection.

I do! My grip strength is terrible and I have sweaty hands, so it helps a lot.

Positive Feedback

I was in the same exact boat as you - bought some gloves to avoid the tears and help with grip strength - but found that I was crippled without them and preferred to not have them on for some exercises, which drove me crazy trying to take them off while switching stations and choosing weights.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Helps with grip strength
I do! My grip strength is terrible and I have sweaty hands, so it helps a lot.
I mostly just work at the machines for specific muscle groups to keep healthy, active and relatively fit.
some thin, but very grippy gloves will automatically make you grip the wheel less tight, which not only helps prevent fatigue/strain but also makes you have better car control.
Prevents calloused hands
I wear gloves every day. Def don't want calloused hands!
Provides palm protection from calluses and blisters
What do you all use for gloves? Realizing this is a bit more complicated with esk8 because you want like a half fully leather motorcycle / half skateboard wrist guard glove.
Hillbilly Wrist guard gloves, either with fingers or without. Solid construction, good enough protection.
Good grip strength
Overall, I think they are awesome gloves.
I 2nd this. If it weren't for the Hillbilly gloves I would have 100% quit esk8ing due to broken wrists, no doubt.
Effective palm protection
they survived a nasty fall. My exposed finger tips ended up gnarly but the gloves' plastic pads ate most of the rash and seem ready for more.
Good for slower speeds
those cofit gloves are okay for slower speeds but they really don’t offer much wrist (specifically scaphoid) protection.
Affordable compared to high-end gear
All relatively cheap on amazon in comparison to the high end gear.

Can get sweaty and uncomfortable
I was in the same exact boat as you - bought some gloves to avoid the tears and help with grip strength - but found that I was crippled without them and preferred to not have them on for some exercises, which drove me crazy trying to take them off while switching stations and choosing weights.
they didn’t allow me to grip weights and bars properly and it lead to a wrist injury which is a sort of common on your left wrist.
Not rated for motorcycle use
Trying to understand what to get.
if they were $20 off Amazon.

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Excitement about new glove technology
They do look FKG amazing.
Did you get your gloves? Thoughts?
Discussion on glove durability and wear resistance
Right hand, right index both times.
Just wearing them. The lightweight summer gloves hardly last me a season most times.
Bonded leather and faux leather have bad wear resistance. They are made for 1 season.
Excitement about getting new riding gear
Anxious excitement Just got my moto permit. Helmet, gloves, and riding jacket just came in.
Preference for gloves to manage sweaty hands
My sweat literally drips down from my hands
They help to keep my hands dry, ironically.
I used to wear disposable latex gloves for task where I knew I would be working with my hands a lot
It even makes me sweat less so that if I need to shake hands with someone I actually can without being soaked

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on preference for gloves vs. no gloves
A good solid hold of is key to preventing hand tears.
They are on the more expensive side but solid as hell.
Recommendation of fingerless compression gloves for hand/wrist pain
These are the fingerless compression gloves that I use day to day for my hand/wrist pain, which were recommended by my physical therapist.
Challenges of finding the right gloves
so far every glove i bought online didnt fit me right and i only realised this, after getting a pair at a store.
finding the right gloves in person means you tried on multiple of the same make/model/size because of all the small variances.
While 1/16" won't make any difference in a jacket, in a glove it might be a huge difference.
They’re firstly comfortable gloves. Have enough movement so you can grip the clutch and brake lever.
Observations on glove fit and sizing
I will never ever buy a piece of motoryclce equipment in the local stores again, online is cheaper, faster (if the local store would need to order your size), more variety, better customer service, ...
the guy needs gloves, and I doubt cycle gear doesn't have ANY of these gloves.
my palm usually fits perfect in an M, but its the lenght fingers or the thumb which doesnt fit or th
I wear an XL glove that is a bit loose around, but fits my hand entirely.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about grip causing damage to gloves
Thank you I was feeling like "am I gripping the the bars funny or something causing this".
Could try gripping slightly less with your index finger
Discussion on protective gear for scooters
I'd rather look ridiculous than eat s**t and break something.
Actually not bad you can't be too protected, but I'd switch the full face for a regular bicycle helmet and regular FOX mountain bike gloves
I was actually considering a bicycle ora 3/4 helmet. But then I remember that I love my face. 🤣
wrist protectors - while they do protect the wrist, they do so by covering the palm of your hand with a metal/composite bar. lifesavers.
Discussion about hand issues related to hypermobile EDS
and this has caused my hands to develop symptoms of carple tunnel, arthritis, and tendonitis despite me still being really young.
Nothing has worked to *completely* prevent symptoms (you may want to see a PT or OT about that, but I haven't tried either yet so idk if they work -- discuss with a doctor first!!), but the combination of both of these has helped at least a little bit, to the point where I'm actually able to complete work in school most of the time without having to leave to grab an ice pack from the nurse.
Discussion on the necessity of gloves for protection during biking
Mountain biking gloves? I was looking though recommendations and many people suggest mountain bike gloves, do I need them and how do they improve the ride?
When you have your first bad crash without gloves, you'll wish you had been wearing gloves.
Full finger gloves too, none of that road bike fingerless business.
Yeah it’s the protection first. Grip second.
