Snoop's Take

The HOZMOZ Ventilated Weight Lifting Gloves are designed to provide maximum hand protection and shock absorption during workouts. With a unique combination of breathable materials and a thick padded design, these gloves are suitable for both men and women engaging in various fitness activities, from weightlifting to climbing. Consumer feedback highlights the gloves' comfort and effectiveness, with users noting, "they felt like the glove was molded to my hand" and praising their durability with features like a tear-resistant design. Many users appreciate the enhanced grip and shock absorption, stating that these gloves help prevent hand damage and reduce slippage, especially for those with sweaty hands. However, some users express concerns about potential grip strength hinderance, stating that gloves might make the bar feel larger and compromise grip effectiveness. Overall, the HOZMOZ Ventilated Weight Lifting Gloves are highly recommended for fitness enthusiasts seeking comfort and protection during workouts, particularly for those who value a balance between grip and cushioning.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Comfortable fit due to breathable materials
they felt like the glove was molded to my hand.
Hope I am not disappointed. They do look FKG amazing.
I'm shopping for a mid-range glove atm, and struggling a bit to compare models by different manufacturers, or even different lines from the same manufacturer.
Whichever way you want to rank them individually, gloves like HoH and A2000 and Mizuno Pro, etc would make an A tier, which is subjectively better than a Mizuno Prime Elite, or Gold Glove Elite, or R9, maybe Marucci Oxbow, etc, which is better than Mizuno Franchise, A1000, MVP Prime.
Good shock absorption and hand protection
It's a great glove, good leather, especially for the price.
Tear-resistant design for durability
Finding some gloves too soft and wondering if any have more structure and consistent pocket.
Effective for preventing hand damage
Why are lifting gloves being made fun of in the fitness community? I personally feel like they help me alot, and I don't like having my hards feel like sandpaper, and be all torn up.
I wear gloves because I get bad eczema on my hands, which leaves me with tons of tiny blisters on my hands, as well as all of the other horrible itching, burning, cracking dryness of it.
Provides protection from injury while lifting
gloves for lifting? Curious the pros and cons (aside from having to remember yet another thing for class) to wearing gloves while lifting.
I sure wish I had a pair on when racking weights sometimes. Drew blood more than once racking them in my 700 sessions.
Helps reduce slippage from sweaty hands
They protect my ring from pinching my hand and help reduce slippage from my sweaty hands.
Provides effective padding to reduce callus formation
Gloves. Yay or Nay? What is general opinion on wearing gloves when working out in this community?
I want to feel the bar
Thin design allows for better grip
I don’t agree skin tact and grip are related but again it comes down to how thin the glove is.
I’ve seen Rory Liedelmeyer using baseball gloves- he’s an old pro.
Effective shock absorption and hand protection
How you store (and treat) the glove is **very** important.
Enhanced grip with anti-slip material
Generally would expect to get 2 seasons out of a youth glove but that’s about it.
Phenomenal warmth for cold conditions.
They are phenomenal gloves. Some of the warmest out there.
They are not THAT warm. You can get warmer gloves/mittens.
Excellent grip compared to mittens.
Allows you to grip the poles much better than mittens while keeping them somewhat warmer than regular gloves.
Highly rated gloves on the market.
Some of the best on the market

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
May hinder grip strength
they can mess with your grip strength from my understanding, so I just steer clear.
They shouldn’t hurt grip strength though. If it helps you and you’re more comfortable with them, go for it
Gloves may hinder grip strength
Gloves make the bar bigger in diameter, which makes it harder to hold, which makes you weaker on any exercise where you need to grip the bar.
I find gloves to be more trouble than they're worth.
Serious lifters don't wear gloves. This is not a macho display or anything.
the study posted above literally tested it out and shows that while thin gloves have a lower impact they still affect grip.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Perception of gloves in fitness culture
People see them as either a sign of weakness (don't want to rough up your hands), or a sign of cockiness (that you think you're pulling enough weight that they're necessary).
It's always a joking kind of thing. Like Lord Dom says, "you wear gloves so your hands can be nice and smooth to jerk-off your boyfriend that night" it's all part of the fitness circlejerk.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Debate about benefits versus drawbacks of lifting gloves
Gloves won’t help with that as they don’t cover your fingers.
Personal preferences vary on using gloves
Personally I don’t for any sort of training. I did try when I was 15-16 but found it to be a hindrance more than anything
Gloves are cool if you dont wanna commit but for whatever you do in sports youll be better off without them atleast from my experience in judo cravmaga rugby bmx climbing and weights

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Gloves may hinder grip strength.
Specially if you work on the computer a lot, you should avoid wearing gloves as at least in my case, they didn’t allow me to grip weights and bars properly and it lead to a wrist injury which is sort of common on your left wrist.
Debate on the use of gloves in serious lifting culture
Huh? Anyone lifting weights cares about friction. If there is no friction you can't pick anything up.
