What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Pops well without burning
Absolutely the best way to make popcorn at home.
Works like a charm. Nothing burnt, maybe 3-5 kernels not popped at the bottom.
Thanks for the detailed review.
The outside is heavily discolored and scratched, but the popcorn still tastes great.
Easy to clean up
I don't use an air popper for health. I use it because of ease of cleanup and almost all the kernels get popped and none are burnt.
It is only oil (maybe salt) and those won't go rancid or bad.
I'm just using oil day in and day out.
Super easy.
Durable construction
There’s a reason I’ve imported 2 Whirley Pop (Stainless Steel) pots all the way to Brussels….
Pops fluffy kernels when using correct method
start with the correct kernels that will yield big fluffy popcorn.
Molly Baz Method of popcorn is the best.

Not suitable for induction cooktops

One thing I will add is that the SS would be better with a gas stove but if you have an electric coil stove the aluminum is better.
Makes 6 quarts at once, best popcorn making method, crispy and flavorful (any way you like it).
Only the ones made of (stainless) steel will work with an induction cooktop.

Preference for oil over air-popped
Salted with a bit of butter though, I find it fantastic.
Pouring melted butter on air popped popcorn gives trails of butter and islands of unbuttered bland popcorn.
Insights on using aluminum vs stainless steel
Currently using a machine that looks cute but is cheap, has broken parts and takes too long to make big batches - especially cleaning it.

Movie theater popcorn in your home.
It's stunning perfect every time (and I worked for a movie theater for a long time so my standards are pretty high for popcorn) and they pre-flavor their kernels and all the flavors are amazing.

Methods for stovetop popcorn making
Once the popping starts, shake it more. Once pops become less frequent, take off the heat.
Discussion about popping techniques and heat settings
I've tried different oils (avocado, coconut (burst into flames)).
You definitely should not be cranking the heat on the stove like that.
You can absolutely pop popcorn on max heat you just need to keep shaking the pot.
You're using max heat? I would start by lowering the heat to medium.
Tips for seasoning popcorn effectively
Any tips for getting seasonings to actually stick to popcorn? I love making popcorn at home but whatever fun concoction I make up seems end up 30% on the popcorn and 70% on the sides and bottom of the bucket.

Nostalgia for older popcorn machines
I still miss my family's air popper. Was it called the Popcorn Pumper, maybe? No oil. No hassle.

Stainless steel whirly pop and never look back.
