Positive Feedback

They definitely market themselves as being a good brand for beginners and I bought into that marketing, only listening to direct opinions from people I play with from now on.

I swear by the Gorilla Grip gloves.
I got the all black Mechanix and they are perfect.
Discussion on finding alternative glove brands
Are there any other manufacturers filling the void for nice thin snowboarding gloves?
Tried google and Ebay can only find really beefy ones on google and a pair on Ebay but they're a large and think they'll be too big.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on wearing gloves with arm pads
I hate getting shot in the hands but I can’t get the “glove” of the arm pads to sit comfortably under the gloves as it peels pack as I put on the gloves.
Not familiar with HK gear but can you go elbow pads over the gloves?
You could sew a loop over your pinky so it holds up, or if the gloves are thin put them under the arm pads.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

Comparison to other brands' gloves
not looking to buy new gloves every game.

I have a few of those, but I was wondering if anybody has found some gloves with plastic or rubber finger "armor" that work well.
Debate on necessity of 'paintball gloves'
Or should I even bother with "paintball" gloves... So what should I buy?
You don’t need to buy “paintball gloves” unless you want like a design such as skeleton hands 🤷‍♀️.
Never loved em and never hated em.
Mechanix or Maxi Flex gloves can be found at any Home Depot.
Discussion about non-paintball gloves as alternatives
Neither do anything that a decent pair of mechanics' gloves won't, aside from make you look like you spend money on paintball specific gear.
thank you, just found a good pair on amazon
If you want half-finger gloves, Amazon carries a brand called Seiberton that's pretty inexpensive. I have been wearing some for six months now and they work rather well.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
HK Army's shift from quality performance to lifestyle branding
HK really started as way more of a “lifestyle” brand for paintball than anything else from what I remember.
General interest in glove brands and their performance
Gloves Just curious on what gloves people use? What brand and what lead you to getting that brand?
mechanix because they hold up and are good for everything.
Gloves I steal from work. Because they're thin
Gorilla grips or Maxiflex. I’m not picky on the brand but basically that style. They’re thin enough that they don’t feel too clunky. Definitely will still sting when you get hit but it helps a lot and prevents scrapes/cuts from the shell.
