Snoop's Take

The Ironclad Tactical Impact Trigger Gloves are designed for military, law enforcement, and recreational use, providing a balance of dexterity and protection. Users praise their outstanding dexterity, especially for tasks requiring finger movement, with sentiments like, "the dexterity is excellent" and "highly recommended" suggesting satisfaction in their performance. However, some challenges with durability and fingertip protection were noted, indicating that while they are versatile and comfortable, potential buyers should be aware of their limitations in extreme conditions. Overall, these gloves are recommended for their intended use, especially for those who prioritize dexterity over maximum protection.

Comfortable for various uses
You don't turn em inside out?
Best luck with Ironclad's gloves
I think I've probably had the best luck with Ironclad's General and Heavy Utility models but even they don't last as long as I'd like / expect / hope.
Highly durable compared to competitors
After wearing through a dozen pairs of mechanics gloves, I switched over to the Ironclad tactical gloves and am way happier.
Ironclad is another brand that has held up for me if you want something cheap.
Good dexterity for delicate tasks
They’ll wear out before too much regular use but I like that they’re versatile for more delicate motor stuff, even touch screens.
Comfortable after size adjustments
Good gloves but I found the stretch more than most so I buy a size smaller after about a week working in them they're much more loose and comfortable
Versatile for various uses
Don't get em wet or you'll cut their life in half, otherwise solid for pretty much everything
Outstanding dexterity for dextrous work
leaves main digits free for dextrous work are solid, running on close to two years and they are great.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Lack of protection for fingertips
I’m not a huge fan of them. Gloves are for protection and that includes your fingers.
Buys gloves to protect hands
Wear holes near seams
My Watson VanGoat goatskin impact 2 + cut 5 gloves last about two weeks to a month, substantially less if I'm doing any cutting or grinding.
Lack of fingertip protection
I’ve seen alpinists cover the areas that tear first with duct tape or medical tape.
Durability issues reported
They’re good for grip and last long enough that it’s not too annoying when they wear out, can usually get a couple weeks out of a pair.
They're fine gloves. I usually go through a pair every 8-12 months.
High price with durability issues
the reviews say they dont last long.
they are much cheaper per pair, and work well.
Wear and tear issues reported
They seem good although I haven't torture tested them.
Allergic reactions to glove materials
Has anyone else gotten an allergic reaction to Ironclad Kong gloves? The first this has ever happened to me...
YES! Finally figured it out after getting beet red breakouts on my hands after wearing them. There's something in the glove lining that I'm allergic to.
Doc has me on some steroid medication, thinks it’s dyshidrotic eczema due to an irritation to the glove’s chemical accelerated material.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on different glove types and materials
I use different types of gloves for different types of jobs.
I've heard homesteaders swear by goat leather gloves, they're supposed to be super durable while working with fencing and brush.
Discussion on various glove types and personal experiences
Just general gloves for keeping your hands a little protected.
The key to work gloves is to buy cheap, buy in bulk, and don't be afraid to toss them
they’re great. I’ve yet to slice through them regularly dealing with heavy sheet metal and still have dexterity to feel small nuts and bolts
They do pretty good for me.
Discussion on balancing warmth and dexterity in gloves
Are there good, relatively thin gloves for the cold. I'd like to be able to do stuff like tie knots with 550 cord and the like.
Warmth and dexterity are inversely proportional; there isn't a secret way around it, only balancing the tradeoffs.
Discussion on glove durability and functionality
Does anyone know of some goldilocks of work gloves out there that are reasonably priced, sturdy, durable and functional?
Instantly took 6 months life off of them.. hehe
Leather gloves for durability and longevity.
Any glove will come apart with a lot of abuse. You'll need metal gauntlets if you don't want to destroy them.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Alternative recommendations from users
the more rigorous activities tear them up.. I’ll go through a pair in one weekend of barbed wire fencing
I’ve heard good things with those Ironclad.
Discussion on alternative gloves
$2 or some shit like that
I buy whatever the cheapest 30 pack on eBay or Amazon and throw them out once they are too worn.
Recommendations for glove liners for better dexterity
Get glove liners, not bigger gloves. They’re like base layers for your hands.
Mention of using mittens for added warmth and dexterity
I wear mittens over gloves. So when i need hand dexterity i can take a mitten off and redice exposure.
Discussion on glove usage in various scenarios
I prefer boxing gloves for combat and general leather gardening gloves for work gloves.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
General recommendation for cold weather mechanic gloves
They aren’t exactly an in fashion look mind you.
Discussion about usage patterns and expectations
Months sounds ridiculously enthusiastic because I’m assuming you’re looking to work full time in them but maybe they’re meant to sit in your trunk?
Not all-day on the job. Farm maintaining, general DIY, that kinda stuff. Figure maybe 12 - 15 hours a week.
Gloves are a disposable version of your calluses. Don't expect any gloves to last too long.
Comparison to other brands
Ringers makes some great gloves.
General discussion on glove preferences
Protect your hands.
Leather gloves :)
you need some variety if you have different fantasies. The typical mechanix are fine for most applic
As a former mechanic, a good pair of mechanic's gloves and a pair of leather "Farm" gloves that you
Comparative mention of other glove brands
I'm hoping there must be at least one brand or model that combines a few of these traits or at least gets the closest to it as I didn't want to carry multiple gloves for multiple occasions when I'm already overencumbered.
Yea Mechanix are my go to. I've been trying to get used to shooting with them.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about safety in tactical scenarios
Safety is paramount 🤟
Concerns about glove durability and protection
They look super durable don’t get me wrong, but if I need to bom up a mag and close my webbing pouches I feel like these are a bit clunky, right?
They're cost effective, nothing more nothing less.
They have a much better and more natural feel to them, and you have full dexterity.
I'm not a fan of the M-Pact or any other tactical glove that has rubber/plastic knuckle protection.
Concerns about safety in various work scenarios
Use the PPE your employer provides. Per OSHA regulations, employers must provide all PPE for employees.
General chatter about glove usage and experiences
Only thing better than goat leather is kangaroo, which is the best animal leather on the planet.
Your boss should be supplying your gloves.
Discussion on Ironclad's gloves and their classification as weapons
Are Ironclad's spiked battle gloves considered separate weapons on their own or are they part of his armor?
Ironclad wears heavy gauntlet-like gloves with cestus extensions for punching, it allows him to fit in the criteria of being unarmed, but still being able to hurt someone a lot.
The answer is in SF3. Ironclad's armor is a common item in the store, and yes the gloves come attached.
Ironclad's gauntlets are actually similar to Brass Knuckles aka Knuckle Dusters. In the laws of today it is considered a light weapon and is illegal in many places or considered concealed weapons.
Discussion about the gloves being mistaken for knuckle dusters
He has gloves!?? I thought they were knuckle dusters....
Comment on the user's skill in hand-to-hand combat
He is still a master of hand to hand combat
Discussion on glove longevity
Just want the consensus on them. As I’ve just brought a pair
