Snoop's Take

The Tippmann Armored Gloves Fingerless/Half Finger Gloves are specially designed for paintball and airsoft enthusiasts, offering both protection and mobility. Users have praised the gloves for their excellent warmth and flexible knuckle armor, which provides good protection during intense games. One user mentioned, "They help when I get shot in the hand and keep me from tearing my hands to pieces," reflecting the positive sentiment about their protective features while playing on turf. However, some feedback indicates that the gloves may not be the warmest option available and there are concerns about durability, with comments like, "the internal stitching on these is just horrible." Despite these drawbacks, the lightweight and breathable fabric has garnered appreciation, especially for long sessions where comfort is key. Overall, while the gloves have their flaws, they are recommended for players looking for a combination of comfort and flexibility in a fingerless design.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Excellent warmth for gloves
Some of the warmest out there.
Love these gloves. Some of the best on the market
Flexible knuckle armor provides good protection
Or should I even bother with "paintball" gloves... So what should I buy?
This is genius and if you don’t mind, imma try it.
Gloves, index and middle fingers cut at the first knuckle.
The gloves are very thin, breathable, and grippy but have no padding.
Excellent fit and construction quality
I wear gorilla grips for various projects & maintenance around the house. They're fine.
Preference for gloves for protection
The only time i use gloves is when i’m on turf to protect my hands from turf burn (or when its cold).
It ultimately is just preference these days, the only time you want to defs wear gloves is in colder weather if you play during such to keep hands warm and shooting at pace, other than that it's whatever floats your goat.
Really helps when I get shot in the hand and since I play on turf they keep me from tearing my hands and elbow pad gauntlets to pieces.
Lightweight and breathable for paintball
They're actually a decent glove for paintball all things considered.
Fingerless gloves provide functionality
I don't think you'll be losing any functionality if you go with the fingerless gloves.
thanks for your thoughts, i'm leaning towards the finger-less gloves the more i think about it.
Id recommend fingerless.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Not the warmest gloves available
They are not THAT warm.
Quality issues with stitching and materials
the internal stitching on these is just horrible too. Went for the Five SF1 Evos instead.
Liner causes hand irritation
absolutely hate when gloves do this. burns so bad makes me just want to stop the whole training session
I have a pair I LOVE but this happened to me, not worth me selling the gloves but still frustrating.
Frustration with glove durability
Some sport tape on pinky solved the problem.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
General preference for gloves that allow hand movement
Whatever one doesn't restrict the movement of your hands.
Discussion about the gloves' appearance and style
They look fantastic. Not sure these pictures do them justice, but they do look great, and they do feel like high quality gloves.
Nice gloves but can you do this 🤘🏼?
And the 18 images of two gloves as well!
Dude, there are two gloves there for scale…
Discussion on various glove recommendations for paintball
You’ve all helped me this far…why not keep it going! Let’s talk GLOVES!
This group is amazing! You’ve helped me shop for all things paintball.

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about alternative gloves
What gloves are the pros using? Keep seeing and hearing about how the pros are running these like 'basic' looking gloves, I think I heard someone say they from Home Depot or something but I'm unsure.
It's this style of gloves. Lots of companies make them, but this was just the first one I saw: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Grease-Monkey-Large-Gorilla-Grip-Gloves-25053-030/202709681
Nylon dipped gloves are a dime a dozen. there might be different brands, but it's all the same stuff- probably all made by one manufacturer and rebranded for resale.

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on alternatives to paintball gloves
You don’t need to buy “paintball gloves” unless you want like a design such as skeleton hands 🤷‍♀️.
Mechanix or Maxi Flex gloves can be found at any Home Depot.
thank you, just found a good pair on amazon
If you want half-finger gloves, Amazon carries a brand called Seiberton that's pretty inexpensive.
Experiences with other brands and their pricing
Bro bought the HK gloves, felt like I wasted $40
Comparison with other brands and their fit
love my NS but I hate the way the logo peals off. I like the fit of my Boxeos more though as the feel more snug
Discussion about returning to paintball after a long hiatus
Getting back into the sport, mask/gloves buying advice welcome
I just got back into the game from the 2000's as well. VForce is my favorite mask brand, and I've used the VForce Profiler mask for ages, it breathes well and has great field of vision.
You’ll want a mask that has a dual pane lens for anti-fogging. JTs are solid voices, as are Virtue, HK, Vforce, Dye.
For masks. The two main “top dogs” are the Carbon Zero and as you said the JT masks (mostly proflex but flex 8s and other models) are still widely used.
Personal experiences with other glove brands
Mine have taken some rather close range hits and saved me some bruises.
I’m in the middle of building that same model, so ill see about doing that.
Discussion on preferred glove options
no local stores to actually go in and check them out in person.
If/when I wear gloves they are the Mechanix gloves.
maxi-flex/gorilla grip gloves are best.
I use batting gloves.
Preference for gardening/mechanic gloves over paintball gloves
i would pass on both for some gardening/mechanic gloves for less than $10
Comparison of glove types including Mechanix and others
Real thin so you can feel what you're touching, but also has outer padding.
Experiences with alternative glove types and brands
Honestly, any will do.
My first pair of gloves for paintball was a pair of Mizuno batting gloves. They had padding to protect a batter from getting hit by a pitch, they held up great playing paintball.
Discussion on glove usage preferences
Why no gloves Been watching Speedball and it seems like most don't wear gloves anymore.
i skin my palm because i was like i dont need my gloves this time.
I wear gorilla grips because I hate the way grass feels on my hands.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
General feedback on low-cost gloves
Never loved em and never hated em.
Concerns about quality of paintball gloves
They're both the same price, and the HK gloves look pretty good, but I'm concerned with the quality of the product.
Neither do anything that a decent pair of mechanics' gloves won't, aside from make you look like you spend money on paintball specific gear.
My HK gloves broke after 2 sessions.
Debate on why some wear basic gloves for paintball
Is this real? Why would people wear these for paintball?
Debate on preferences for fingered vs fingerless gloves
Fingered or finger-less gloves? Im looking to buy some gloves for my tactical woodsball setup and can't choose between fingered or finger-less gloves.
I don't like to wear gloves unless it's to keep my hands warm, so I'd recommend fingerless.
I used to wear fingerless gloves until an encounter with some rose bushes, I now prefer fingered gloves.
Or just buy fingered gloves and if you don't like it, just cut the fingers off.
