Snoop's Take

The Ho Stevie! Surfboard Car Racks are a versatile and user-friendly solution for transporting surfboards on any vehicle. Designed to securely hold up to three surfboards without the need for traditional crossbars, these racks feature soft padding and anti-slip bases to protect your boards during transit. Consumer feedback highlights the soft racks as a highly recommended choice, with many users praising their ease of use: "Dude get some soft racks. Open your doors and put them on. Close your doors. Now you have racks." Users also appreciate how quickly they can be installed and removed, making them a convenient option for surf enthusiasts. However, some concerns have been raised about occasional buzzing noises while driving and doubts about the overall quality of the product, with remarks like, "Ho Stevie is a kook who makes shitty surfing accessories." Overall, the Ho Stevie! Surfboard Car Racks are a solid recommendation within their category, particularly for surfers seeking an affordable and easy-to-use solution for transporting their boards, despite some mixed opinions on quality.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on strap types
recommended Surfboard straps for roof-rack What do you recommend as a preferred set of straps for tying down board to roof-rack?
I like the 'endless cam' type straps, you can get almost anywhere.
Prob overpriced but i like the dakine baja straps. Easy and have a neoprene part on the buckles to protect the board.
I use standard ratchet straps. Just don't over-tighten and you never have to worry about the board coming loose.

Humorous mention of a car's rain feature
lololol took me a bit to realize it was the soft racks and not my old pos cars fault, chevy's "feel the rain" feature.
Discussions about alternative methods for securing surfboards
there is no substitution for buying roof racks which will securely attach the surfboard to the roof.
Get a few pool noodles and a looping tie strap.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about soft racks vs. hard racks
Would you recommend a soft rack? I can barely fit my board in my car, but if I have someone in the car then I just can't at all.
Make sure they're tight and youre fine.
