Snoop's Take

The Kenwood DDX376BT is a versatile in-dash car DVD monitor designed to enhance the driving experience with its Bluetooth connectivity, USB/AUX inputs, and a clear 6.2" resistive screen. This receiver is equipped with features like steering wheel control input and parking guidelines for rear camera, making it a practical choice for both music lovers and tech-savvy drivers alike. Consumer sentiment highlights a mix of satisfaction and frustration with the Kenwood DDX376BT. Many users express their loyalty to the Kenwood brand, stating, "Kenwood is my go to in just about all situations," while others report issues such as volume control difficulties and unexpected radio shutdowns. Additionally, some have experienced poor customer service, leading to mixed feedback on reliability and support. Overall, while the Kenwood DDX376BT has its strengths, including effective steering wheel controls and a preferred brand reputation, potential buyers should consider the noted issues before purchasing. It may be a good option for those who prioritize features over reliability, but caution is advised based on the feedback.

Kenwood does.
Critique of design aesthetics in modern vehicle infotainment systems
I hate the "tacked on ipad" look found in current high end vehicles.

Discussion on aftermarket integration with new car infotainment systems
Almost every single new car can handle larger than a double din sized head unit now.
Most aftermarket head units (except the ones that cost near $1000 and above) would look like shit in newer cars.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Comparison with Sony features
The Sony has hard buttons on the bottom, very important if you don't have steering wheel buttons.
Comparison with JVC features
In the end after owning one of each ( I love the JVC as I prefer buttons and my wife has the kenwood as she prefers knobs) we got our kids the kenwood as the dual 720 hdr camera input slots are so worth it.
Troubleshooting methods shared
Try resetting the radio. Sounds like a radio issue
Inquiry about double-DIN stereos with camera input
Lots of aftermarket touchscreen stereos these days have the ability to display video from a backup camera, but are there any that can accept *two* wired remote camera inputs (e.g. one mounted to each of the front/rear bumpers) and that can record?
I don’t think you’ll find a head unit that records video input.
I'm guessing with the convertible, you’re looking for a clean install without the option of running wires under the ceiling trim.
Inquiry about OEM stereo quality and upgrades
Great 2 cents.
Replacing the head unit in those cars is fairly straightforward and would yield great audio results.
Comparison of Kenwood with Pioneer
What makes Kenwood the best in the game in your opinion?
Kenwood* not me wood haha darn autocorrect?

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Common issues with multiple Kenwood and JVC models
a full power cycle (pulling fuse or unplugging and re plugging) with an update has fixed 99% of my cases.
