Snoop's Take

The Momcozy Breast Pump V1 Pro is a hospital-grade, hands-free, and portable wearable pump designed to make breastfeeding easier for busy moms. With its upgraded electric pump that features 15 levels of intensity and three fine-tuned rhythms, it aims to cater to the unique pumping needs of each mother. Consumer sentiment is predominantly positive, with many praising the product for its convenience and effectiveness. Users have noted, "I loved Momcozy. I really hated being stuck to the wall so invested in this and never looked back!" Additionally, the pump's portability allows for multitasking, making it a favorite among mothers who want to pump while on the go. However, some feedback indicates it may not be as powerful as traditional hospital pumps, with a few users reporting less effective milk collection. Overall, the Momcozy Breast Pump V1 Pro is highly recommended for mothers seeking a convenient and portable pumping solution. While it may not replace a primary pump for everyone, its hands-free design and positive user feedback suggest it serves well in various situations, especially for mobile use.

I have to pump twice as long to empty me like the spectra, but it’s way more convenient

Positive Feedback

I'm not familiar with the M5 specifically, but I started with just a portable pump and ended up renting a hospital pump at week 6 when my supply started diminishing.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Convenient pumping experience
I have to pump twice as long to empty me like the spectra, but it’s way more convenient
I have a m5 and like it. So sleek and effective for pumping
What are the best Wearable pumps?! I’m a lactation consultant, doula and childbirth educator. I’m always being asked to recommend pumps to people. Being only one person, there’s only so many pumps I can trial personally, and there are so many on the market, with new ones launching all the time. So, I thought I’d come here, to the community that has helped me the most with my own exclusively pumping journey.
Love the pump and successfully used it as my primary for the last 10 weeks. However I tried it with the freemie and legendairy milk collection cups and had no luck.
Effective performance at different levels
Pumpables Genie Advanced is great and works with the Momcozy collection cups! Bonus.
Convenient and mobile pumping experience
I loved momcozy. I really hated being stuck to the wall so invested in this and never looked back!
The Momcozy m5 saved my pumping journey. I can basically do anything except unload the bottom of the dishwasher bending over completely with them on.
I used momcozy and it was a game changer. I would be sad when it was out of battery.
Product offers good sales and value
I will say your Spectra is going to get you results faster, but being mobile and able to do things while pumping is worth the slightly longer pumping time to me.
Effective performance for pumping
I could not *stand* the hospital grade medela pump.
Convenient and portable design
the Momcozy wearable sounds like a good bet…
It makes the edges of her nails like tiny razors that I just end up having to clip off anyways.
I love that thing more than any other device! The trick is being quick and getting your little one to be interested in it.
Highly recommended portable pump
New momcozy air1 Do not even bother with any other portable pump. This is the one.
We have the momcozy one, recommended by others, have used it for a month now.
Better output than Spectra
I find my output way better than my spectra.
Decent suction for an emergency pump
The suction is decent, I just can’t get a pump that’s as good as my spectra.
Effective suction performance
I'm not sure I how married you are to specifically those two styles, but I have the Momcozy S12. It's STRONG, almost uncomfortably so.
I've only used V2 but I do love it. It fits me well and the suction is really great.
I love the V1 it’s also hospital grade! I get the same amount as I do with my spectra with it.
Convenient for multitasking
I really would like to pump and walk around and not be stuck to my other pump with all the cords and what not.
Better output than other wearables
I’m currently primarily using my two wearables and I know that’s discouraged for EP.
I've used a v1 and it's definitely worth it. The cups are a good size (at least for me) and it does give me better output than my other wearables w/o me being tied to the wall.
Portable and lightweight design
It’s bulky for sure but fairly light and easy to put together/use.
The Legendairy milk cups hook up to many different portable pumps.
Convenient for occasional use
I'm worried that this was a big waste of money.
the stimulation/massage mode is what gave me the most output.
Effective stimulation mode for letdown
I only really produce 3-5 oz a session (avg 3.5).
Comfortable with proper flange size
The biggest problem for most pumps is the flange size!
Capable of emptying breast effectively
my output has been way higher than when I used a traditional pump with my first.
Good for portable pumping
It’s good for portable pumping (on a road trip, camping, etc) but not as a main pump.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Less powerful than hospital-grade options
I'm not familiar with the M5 specifically, but I started with just a portable pump and ended up renting a hospital pump at week 6 when my supply started diminishing.
Not suitable as a primary pump
When you contact momcozy for a replacement under warranty, they send you an insane checklist which includes sending them a video of the pump suctioning your fingertip (super weird) .
Ineffective milk collection
I never got more than an oz on each side when normally I get 3-4 per side.
I barely got a quarter ounce while trying to use it.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Need for a wearable pump for dual use
Thanks so much for sharing this! I will have a toddler and newborn, so looking for a wearable to use in addition to my bigger pump.
Need for wearable pumps in parenting
Having a wearable pump this time is crucial as I will have a newborn plus a toddler and I can’t afford to spend so much time restrained by my pump.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Comparison with other Momcozy models
and not sure which one would be a better choice.
Comparison with other pumps
I feel like this is hard to answer. Because they're so expensive, most people have ever only tried 1 or 2.
Comparison with other pump options
I looked at a lot of options but ultimately chose these because you can purchase the hand free caps which allow you to hook up the collection cups to your regular pump.
Discussion about needing a secondary pump
I'm now 25w and reading that portable breast pumps are great for on the go but not ideal as the primary pump.
Mixed feelings about wearable pumps
Mixed reviews on wearable pumps Mama to be here! Noticing that every wearable I’ve looked at seems to have mixed reviews.
Discussion about brand replacement policies
Amazon (Canada) is fine. You still go directly through momcozy and they will refund you or send a replacement.
Discussion about various pump experiences
Would like to not spend over $200.
I love my trusty Spectra and the reviews make me think Pumpables will have the same vibration stimulation - is that what you found?
Once my boobs got used to the pumpables I have the same output with both!

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about parts replacement
My only concern if it will have parts replacement for sale for the long run.
Skepticism about influencer claims
Momcozy reviews? I see all the momcozy pumps being used on tiktok and the woman using them are able to fully fill them with milk.
Discussion about new parenting challenges
Act of desperation #2: buy another pair of gloves. You're not fucking around anymore. You go for the luxury of all luxury baby gloves so they finally stay put.
Finally bought an electric nail file and kicked myself for not getting one sooner.
