Snoop's Take

Mr. Pen's Fabric Markers for Sewing are designed for precision and ease in fabric marking tasks. This 5-pack of erasable and water-soluble fabric pens is perfect for sewing enthusiasts and professionals looking to create clean and temporary markings on various fabrics without the risk of permanent stains. Consumer feedback highlights the product's effectiveness, particularly praising the ability to easily remove marks with water. As one user noted, "I love using silicone teething beads as stitch stoppers. They’re just the cutest!" However, some users have raised concerns, mentioning that marks may become permanent if heat is applied, leading to confusion between washable and marking pens. Despite some confusion around usage, the overall sentiment is positive, with many recommending these markers for anyone engaged in sewing or crafting. Therefore, Mr. Pen's Fabric Markers for Sewing come highly recommended for their intended purpose.

Erasable marks are easily removable with water
I love using silicone teething beads as stitch stoppers. They’re just the cutest!
I didn't know these even existed as an option! Could I ask where you got these from?
Which fabric marker / chalk? New to sewing - what's the best sort of general purpose fabric marker to use? Something that comes out of the fabric (details of HOW to get it out as well please)?

Confusion between washable and marking pens
Washable fabric pen does not wash out. I use this tulip washable marker to help me with the hem of this dress.
Fabric *marking* pens wash out, washable *fabric markers* will not wash out of fabric.
That’s because it’s not for sewing. It’s a permanent marker for decorating fabric.
fabric markers on the other hand are for drawing permanent (or at least long term) patterns/drawings on fabric.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on marker types and their uses
Though they don’t work on dark colors. So I just a pinwheel for those.
art supplies vs. sewing supplies use the same terms used totally differently.
I probably would assume it means “will wash out” on markers.
it’s much better to use terms like “wash out” or “water soluble” for things that will disappear in the wash.
Discussion on fabric marker types and their uses
Crayola washable markers come out of lighter fabrics. And for dark, I prefer liquid chalk markers
I use different kinds depending on the fabric, mostly a purple one that fades over time or a white liquid chalk marker or roller pen

Discussion on sewing hacks and tips
Hacks” that have become mainstays in your sewing projects? I saw a post in r/labrats that talked about random things you do in a laboratory that make your life easier (my favorite being to store sharpies upside down so they are always ready to write). I thought the same concept could be applied to sewing.
Batch cutting/sewing. I usually cut out 2-3 projects at a time. While I don't sew them at the same time, it takes a step out for future me for going on to the next project.
I load up a few bobbins at a time so I can just swap them out when one runs out.
Using kids purple glue sticks to secure before sewing. It washes out great.
Discussion on using Cricut pens for fabric
This was just a test drawing on some scrap fabric but it worked surprisingly well! I'm really excited to try this out for my next embroidery work.
cricut makes its own blue washable markers for this exact reason, if that's something you'd be interested in :)
If you put the image you want so it's centered on the mat instead of by the edge it can help prevent the fabric pulling up from the drag of the pen.

Discussion on fabric scissors quality
If I search Amazon, they range from $7 and up. Not opposed to paying for quality but will a $30 or $40 pair serve me well?
