Does 95% of the work of an iron and is much faster and you don’t need to set up/store an ironing board.
No need for an ironing board
I hate ironing with a passion. I’ve used a steamer for years.
Fast and effective at removing wrinkles
Wrinkles on a linen shirt (and linens in general) I could never completely iron out are a breeze with a steamer.
I'm just in love with not having to grind on the damn iron to get wrinkles out.
Convenient for finished garments
Love a steamer for the already finished stuff, but gotta stick with the iron when actually sewing.
The best explanation I've heard is that irons are for putting creases _in_ and steamers are for taking them out.
Effective on various fabrics
I honestly steamed the crap out of everything from silk to satin to wool to linen to cotton to polyester and it worked so efficiently and well.
Rotatable head for easier use
I find it super handy that the purple steamer turns.

I think it does the job. It’s ok and handy.

I think the device is faulty. I don't have that issue.
Requires waiting time before reuse
I have the same issue where I have to wait for the blinking white light to stop to use again after 30 sec.
Some people prefer traditional irons
What steamer are y'all using? I have never found one that is even close to as good as an iron.
Not suitable for sewing applications
Can I ask how you would press a seam open with a clothes steamer, or press a hem?
They're very much two different applications, not interchangeable.
Size may be larger than expected
It packs down smaller and works well enough for me on cotton items.
