Snoop's Take

The Sundu Portable 2-in-1 Steamer & Iron is designed for those seeking an efficient solution for wrinkle removal, combining the functionality of a traditional iron with the convenience of a steamer. With a quick 15-second heat-up time and a 100ml tank, this product allows users to tackle wrinkles easily at home or while traveling. Consumer feedback highlights the Sundu steamer's lightweight and compact design, making it an ideal travel companion. Many users appreciate that it "works absolutely fine for casual ironing and travel related tasks," while also noting its quick ironing capabilities for pre-office preparation. However, some users express that it does not provide the crisp finish of a traditional iron, with comments like "nothing beats a good iron that’s used competently" reflecting this sentiment. Overall, the Sundu Portable Steamer is recommended for those who prioritize portability and convenience over achieving a perfectly crisp finish. It excels in casual ironing scenarios, making it a great choice for travelers or those with minimal ironing needs.

Positive Feedback

I've seen people in other threads say that a steamer doesn't make your shirts as "crisp" but I'm not sure how much that matters for more casual shirts I'm just wearing to go to my office.

A little input on your iron choices Ok everyone, my iron is slowly dieing and I'm in need of a replacement.
I don't often iron clothes except for special occasions, so I'm having a bit of trouble justifying the need for a new one when this one still 'works'.
Are there good affordable irons and what’s the very best? Besides endless scrolling can I search Reddit for discussions- like “irons?”

I was on this same rant this week. I mean, really, if I could buy a decent hand steamer for myself in high school at Goodwill for $5, you'd think they can get a good one.

Steamer does not provide a crisp finish like an iron
I've seen people in other threads say that a steamer doesn't make your shirts as "crisp" but I'm not sure how much that matters for more casual shirts I'm just wearing to go to my office.
I bought a steamer (though a cheap travel version) specifically because I didn't want to iron in the morning.
If you want "unwrinkled" it can be OK, but not if you want it to look flat.
Realistically, it just didn’t perform as well as an iron with steam.

Easier to put it on a hanger in a bathroom when you take a hot shower. Plenty of steam, in a small enclosed area.

Tried that initially but wasn’t getting much out of it, I have a larger bathroom. So instead I used the teakettle and it worked surprisingly better.

We've searched for hours for a Made in the USA steam iron to recommend, but most of the SEO around terms like 'Made in the USA iron' lead us to what feels totally bogus articles.
My search for a US made iron left me just as frustrated. I bought a vintage US made iron that's only a little sketchy, but it doesn't seem like that would work for you guys.
I haven't had any luck either. Internet searches are useless!
